Our kids love riding in our pickup truck and whenever I (Rob) take them to daycare, the three dachshunds now like to crowd onto the front seat (doesn't every kid call "shotgun seat"?) - and Dolly the Weimaraner enjoys the big bed in the back part of the cab.

Dolly enjoys the whole backseat!

Luxury products like this Samsung PetCam were on display at the 2013 Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Fla.

I would love to know what our kids do when we're not home, and this spring there's going to be a way to see, using your phone!

Pets deserve a little pampering now and then — and we saw plenty of products at the 2013 Global Pet Expo that are sure to make cats, dogs or chickens feel like a million bucks. From personalized pet pillowcases to a pet webcam that assembles in 30 seconds, here are 10 products that caught our eye.
Samsung PetCam
Haven't you always wanted to know what your cat or dog is doing while you're away at work? Now you can spy on your animal no matter where you are in the world with Samsung's PetCam Wi-Fi Video Pet Monitor.
Easily assembled in 30 seconds, the high-resolution camera syncs with your computer, smartphone or other mobile device. And if you want to tell your pet how much you miss him, you can talk to him through the embedded mic and speakers. (The Samsung PetCam will retail for $149 and be available in late spring 2013.)

Gift/Memorial Suggestions

Several of our friends have lost loved ones (human and pets) and we found that one of the best ways to honor their memory is to give to an animal charity.
What better way to recognize a life of love, than by giving another life a chance for love?
We donate to many animal rescues, but because we volunteer with
DC Weimaraner Rescue and Coast-to-Coast Dachshund Rescue, those are our 2 favorites.
Consider giving the chance of life to a dog or cat.
