DUNDALK, Md. — A dog was saved from a roof in Dundalk thanks to the bravery of a Baltimore County police officer on Tuesday.
According to police, officers responded to the 300 block of Pine Street after receiving reports of a dog stranded on the roof of a two-story townhouse and unable to get down. Police spoke with a neighbor who allowed them into their home to attempt to access the roof.
Officer Alex Flores climbed onto the roof through a rear window and was able to reach the area of the roof where the dog was. She sat on the roof and was able to calmly persuade the dog to come to her. She then safely secured the dog and members of the Baltimore County Fire Department safely assisted both off the roof.
Police said they believe the dog exited a second-story window and ended up stuck on the roof due to the steep incline. The dog will remain in the care of Animal Services until its owner can be found.
