Rescued Weimaraner: Deplorable Condition

We support Weimaraner and Dachshund rescues and we have seen so many horrible cases of abuse and neglect.  Out 16 year old Dachshund, Sprite, was in bad shape when he came to us in Dec. 2010. - Take a look at this poor Weimaraner that was recently rescued from Weimaraner Rescue of the South.  It's despicable that people get away with abusing poor animals. These people are sick.

The best thing we can do is support the Rescue:  Weimaraner Rescue of the South   Non-Profit Organization:We are dedicated to saving Weimaraners from kill-shelters in Alabama, Mississippi, and parts of Georgia, Tennessee and Louisiana. Please visit

Sylvie update - she is doing well. She's slowly and steadily gaining weight and many of the deep sores on her body are starting to heal. The plan is to get her to a healthy weight and body condition and then have her spayed and remove her mammary tumors. Once she's healed from that, then we will start her heartworm treatment. It's still a very long journey head for Sylvie, but she's taking steps in the right direction.

Gift/Memorial Suggestions

Several of our friends have lost loved ones (human and pets) and we found that one of the best ways to honor their memory is to give to an animal charity.
What better way to recognize a life of love, than by giving another life a chance for love?
We donate to many animal rescues, but because we volunteer with
DC Weimaraner Rescue and Coast-to-Coast Dachshund Rescue, those are our 2 favorites.
Consider giving the chance of life to a dog or cat.
