Quebec Trip #12: Chateau Frontenac's Canine Mascot

Santo, Chateau Fronteac's Canine Ambassador
In this blog about our trip to Old Quebec, Canada, you'll meet Chateau Frontenac's hotel Canine Mascot. Although we didn't get to meet him (he was off-duty the couple of times we visited), we were enamored with the concept since we're dog dads!

Santo usually resides at the Concierge Desk to greet people
Dog lovers can have some extra special company when they stay at the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac Hotel.  Canadacool.com said "This is one of several Fairmont hotels (including Fairmont’s two Vancouver properties) that now have Canine Ambassadors."

Santo is a St Pierre (similar to a Labernese). He’s kind and gentle and loves attention. He was bred and trained to by a guide dog by the Mira Foundation. It trains about 200 guide dogs each year. His new career has him greeting guests at the front door or in the lobby of the Chateau Frontenac. Guests can arrange to have him join them for a walk or a run. His is bed is in the lobby beside the Concierge."
