Pictures During the Blizzard

We're staying inside today as the blizzard hits outside. Here's a couple of pictures of what's happening. Snow outside of the front of the house and on the cars in the driveway. We backed the vehicles in (so they'd be easier to get out in a couple of days) and they already have about 5-6" of snow on them already.
Meanwhile inside, we finished wrapping presents, finished the laundry, I made homemade spaghetti sauce that's cooking in the crockpot, filing away comic books, etc. Darold is enjoying reading, while Franklin the Dachshund is enjoying the comfort of Darold's lap. Meanwhile, Dolly claimed the other chair! :)

Jake, a son of our neighbors Tracy and Gary, came over and is trying to make money for Christmas, so he asked to shovel our walk and driveway. PERFECT! I didn't want to go out there anyway (but I shoveled the backyard for the dogs, and the back walkway, and part of the driveway.
Meanwhile, Jake shoveled the walk and the end of the driveway, then he came in while I put his hat and gloves in the dryer and gave him some cookies while they dried. He's a fun kid- he talked about how he wants some video Ipod for Christmas (whatever that is) and saw the hampster spy cartoon. He loves our dogs, Dolly and Franklin and was happy to give them treats.

Where were Tom and Darold? Watching the movie "Missing Persons" (featuring British sleuth "Hettie Wainthrop") inside in the warm house! They were the smart ones!
