A Day for a Triple Celebration

We're celebrating 3 things today. Okay, so if you don't care about gay rights, don't read this. It's important to us, however, and so many trying to get equal rights. For example, even though we're legally married in CT, it's not recognized in Maryland- so we have no rights or equality in this state.
1) DC City Council votes to legalize gay marriage!
The Washington, D.C., City Council voted Tuesday to legalize gay marriage in the nation's capital, handing supporters a victory after a string of recent defeats in Maine, New York and New Jersey.

Of course, there are hateful bastards that are already trying to prevent the Mayor from signing it (or Congress from approving it), and planning to overturn it. We say to those hateful people "Get a life and fix your own straight marriages! The divorce rate is high!"
2) TV evangelist Oral Roberts has died at age 91, a day after he fell at his California home and was hospitalized.Roberts founded Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., in 1963 and served as its president until 1993. He was one of the most hateful, wretched, gay-hating Evangelists. Yes, it may sound "mean" to celebrate someone's passing, but life is too short for hateful people to keep making misery.
Now that he's passed, once he reaches the "other side" he'll realize how hateful he's been on Earth.
3) Houston Gets a Gay Mayor! -WOW... HOUSTON?? We never would've thought...-

Houston voters made history in December, electing the first openly gay mayor of a major U.S. city. Annise Parker, 53, takes the oath of office on Jan. 1 to lead the nation's fourth largest metropolis, with some 2.2 million residents.
