Merry Christmas,,, what a Loud Christmas Eve!

It's Christmas eve at 7:53 pm ET, and it has been a busy, crazy day (even though we're on vacation). We had breakfast at Panera Bread this morning at 7am, then went to Lowes, Kohls and Walmart all before 9:30am. We returned home to find our contractor and 3 other guys helping him - working on our 1st floor bathroom renovations. One was framing, one was chipping old tile, and the contractor and another guy were cleaning out our air ducts (we asked for it). Dust flew everywhere, sawdust and tile dust covered the kitchen, hallway and living room. The dogs were really uncomfortable... so we took them upstairs after I took them on a long walk (in the cold sunshine).
The hammering and banging continued until 3 p.m.!! I was at my wits end. The house was covered with dust, and tomorrow we're hosting Christmas. We managed to clean it afterward, and get our traditional Chinese food dinner afterward with our friend (and roommate) Darold.
Tomorrow is Christmas, so the contractor and his employees won't be working, but they'll ALL be here first thing Saturday morning, so it's going to be chaos again this weekend. We're looking forward to a quiet Christmas when no creatures are stirring, except maybe an occasional squirrel outside that our dogs Dolly and Franklin bark at tomorrow! May you have a quiet, joyful Christmas!
