What is Sophia's Grace Foundation Dachshund Rescue?

We work with a lot of dog rescues by doing dog transports, and one of the newest dog rescues we were fortunate enough to work with is Sophia's Grace Foundation based in Pennsylvania. It was created by Corinne Z. and named after her little dachshund Sophia Grace who passed.

FROM THE WEBSITE:    It is our goal to save the lives of needy dachshunds with major health issues. A nationwide network of volunteers ensures that 100% of all donations serve these abandoned, abused and/or neglected dachshunds.

Mission Statement: We affirm to offer financial aid to dachshunds in need of rescue, refuge and health support. Our aim is to provide care and comfort in honor of our faithful companion Sophia who has selflessly given of herself so we may know the true nature of love, strength and loyalty. Our financial assistance is intended to create a harbor of peace and safety so we may alleviate the physical and emotional suffering of dachshunds.
Company Overview
The "Sophia's Grace Foundation" is a non-profit group of committed volunteers throughout the country seeking to provide the miracles of medicine by means of the solicitation of monetary donations and spiritual support.
It is our goal to save the lives of needy dachshunds with major health issues thereby restoring their wellbeing and their confidence.

What our love and dedication alone cannot pro... See More
We founded our group in honor of a dear little dachshund named Sophia Grace. Sophia is a sweet little 12-year old dachshund who was rescued from a situation where she spent all her life without receiving any medical care. When she came into rescue she was severely malnourished, sickly and had to have nearly all her teeth pulled. Through the "Grace" of so many selfless contributors we were able to get her the medical care that she so badly needed, and had been denied all her 12 years on earth. She is now in her forevever home in Michigan where she is thriving and grows stronger with each day. It is in her honor that we founded our organization, and we will honor her with every dachshund we are able to help now and for many years to come!

Gift/Memorial Suggestions

Several of our friends have lost loved ones (human and pets) and we found that one of the best ways to honor their memory is to give to an animal charity.
What better way to recognize a life of love, than by giving another life a chance for love?
We donate to many animal rescues, but because we volunteer with
DC Weimaraner Rescue and Coast-to-Coast Dachshund Rescue, those are our 2 favorites.
Consider giving the chance of life to a dog or cat.
