GOOD BOOK - The Secret Lives of Dogs: The Real Reasons Behind 52 Mysterious Canine Behaviors

I'm almost done reading a great book on dog behavior. It's called "The Secret Lives of Dogs: The Real Reasons Behind 52 Mysterious Canine Behaviors" by Jana Murphy, editor of Pets Magazine.
It gives GREAT info... like why dogs like their ears scratched, tip their heads while listening to you; sleep on their backs; bury bones; chew shoes; dislike having their feet touched (they have LOTS of nerve endings on top of their paws); digging; humping legs; raiding the trash; jumping up; howling at sirens and SOOOO much more. The book tells you WHY they do it, the offers suggestions to correct the behavior and even offers FAST FIXES. EXCELLENT BOOK!
- I also learned that sticks from fruit trees have a level of toxicity to them, and should NOT be given to dogs. Other trees to avoid:black walnut; black cherry; red oak; black locust; yew and red maple. They each contain a substantial amount of poison to a dog!!
