Day 5: Major Home Renovation / Rob's New Office Space/ Great Comicbook Series!

Day 5 of the new window dormer renovation in the house only involved the placement of insulation in the walls, and not much else that we could see - but it's progress! It means that it's coming along- and hopefully, the contractor will be putting up the drywall in the next couple of days...

Here's a photo of Rob's new "cubicle" at work. Notice that one of the first things that went up were all the photos of Tom and the dogs, Dolly and Franklin; and the coffeemaker. :) At least the cubicle faces a big glass window and door - so I can see what's going on outside - weatherwise. I just need to buy headphones to listen to the radio while I work.
WEEKEND PLANS - Tom has lined up a whole host of weekend chores- from working on the patio roof to painting to trimming shrubs. There's also oil changes for the vehicles, dog baths, dog walks, and hopefully the gym. Whew! We need 3-day weekends.
ONE OF THE BEST COMIC BOOK STORY LINES EVER: BLACKEST NIGHT - Rob is a big fan of the superhero The GREEN LANTERN - as you know, Rob dressed up like him this past Halloween. In Rob's opinion, DC Comics should have thrown out the "Final Crisis" storyline and just kept "Blackest Night"- It's awesome!!
Blackest Night is a crossover story arc published by DC Comics about how a counterpart to the Green Lantern's Central Power Battery is found and accidentally activated. Dead superheroes, killed in recent years are brought back to life via the use of black power rings issued by the Green Lantern villain, Black Hand at the behest of Nekron. The Blackest Night series of interconnected stories will be published for eight months via a limited series of the same name as well as in both Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps comic titles.
