Busy Weekend!

With the big renovation of a 3-window dormer in progress on the 2nd floor of the house, our computer has been disabled, so I have to find other means to blog! - Anyway, it was a nice weekend - but busy. For some reason, we haven't been able to sit and watch a movie for over 2 months! Friday night, our friends Craig and Jim came over and we enjoyed Mexican food with them - Jim swims alot and just did another big swim event. Last month he swam across the Chesapeake Bay! Craig's a great photographer (his blog is linked to ours) and has a great Mastiff and 2 cats, full of adventures. It was great to see them!
ATTIC INSULATION REPLACEMENT

-
On Saturday, we took advantage of the open wall in our upstairs from the construction and replaced ALL of the insulation in the front of the house. It was nasty, dirty, messy and cramped!! I crawled into the attic crawlspace (because I'm shorter and can crawl around like Spiderman). The masks we used didn't filter out the dust and dirt from the old, crumbling insulation. After finishing, we both had to immediately wash our clothes and take showers. - Then we got to walk the dogs 1 1/2 miles! - After that, it was time to PAINT THE PATIOS! - Tom and I picked out paint that would match the outside of the house (a light green) and Tom Painted both the back and front patios while I brought the old insulation to the dump and then went grocery shopping! We ended the evening with dinner with Tom's folks at IHOP, and we were both exhausted!

AFTER:
SUNDAY - It was a HOT day here... reached 93F... so we walked the dogs on a 2 mile jaunt early to the local Farmer's Market, then Rob cooked - as our friend Ron V. came over. We haven't seen him for 1 1/2 years- so it was way past time. We sat outside and got some sun in the backyard despite the heat. After Ron's visit it was back to laundry, cleaning, etc. Where do weekends go?
