Photo Blog: Bundling Up on this Bitter Cold Winter Week!

Our kids, and friend Mopar ready for the cold!
This week in the Mid-Atlantic has brought another Arctic Outbreak. That means high temperatures in the low-30s, and even the low 20s some DAYS with wind chills in the Teens and single numbers during the daytime. Night-time wind chills are expected in the negative numbers!
*BTW- Dogs should NOT be left outside more than 5 minutes, as they can get frostbite on their noses and ears, and the tops of their feet are sensitive. (Huskies and similar dogs are bred to handle the cold).
So, to ensure that everyone remains warm, even our dogs, everyone gets bundled up.
Dolly, our Weimaraner is sporting one of Daddy Rob's sweatshirts from Dollywood (appropriately). Franklin the Dachshund (front left) is wearing one of Grandma Gutro's homemade dog sweaters, Tyler the black and tan Dachshund (center) is wearing a doggy sweater and their friend Mopar is wearing one of Dolly's sweaters.
Tom giving Mopar some loving.
We know it's cold when they go out and all come back in from the backyard in less than 2 minutes!
Once back inside, they warm up under blankets on their beds. Mopar got some special attention from uncle Tom, though (See pic below).
