Video Interview: What's coming for Season 2 of Fox's Fun Show "Lucifer"

Lucifer -Actor on the Fox TV show (left), Vertigo comic (right)
One of the new TV shows that we were pleasantly surprised about last season was "Lucifer" on Fox.   This drama/comedy is really well-done.   There's great writing on the show, and some laugh out loud lines. It's all light-hearted fun and worth watching.

Recently, DC Comics Vertigo line (who does the comic book of the same name) interviewed the actors to tell viewers what they can expect in the second season... The video is below.

THE PREMISE - Lucifer (Satan) leaves hell and comes to Earth where he runs a nightclub. He meets and winds up helping a beautiful female police detective (who is separated from her police officer husband). Lucifer's wise-cracking, sarcasm and charm, plus his incredibly handsome appearance makes him a fascinating character. He winds up enjoying punishing criminals and becoming a "good guy."

WHAT ABOUT THE COMIC BOOK? - Skip it for now.  I've read the first 7 issues of the DC /Vertigo Comic, and it's almost nothing like the TV show. It has focused entirely on hell, other angels and weird settings. There's no wise cracking Lucifer, no police officer, no helping the police put criminals away, etc. SO, if you like the TV show as we do, right now, unless they change things in the comic, it's not worth reading now.

We may not be angels, but we've certainly fallen for Lucifer, Fox's hit adaptation of the classic Vertigo comic series. So what can we expect when the series returns next fall? In this DCTV clip, we talk to the cast of Lucifer about what the end-of-season revelation about Lucifer's mother means for them in Season 2.
