Dolly's Eye and Rob's Sinus Drama Continue

Rob and Dolly still working on getting better
Well it's been a challenging time on the health front here for Dolly and Rob...and neither of us are 100% yet. Here's the deal:

DOLLY'S EYE UPDATE - On Tuesday we went back to the vet to check the "Refractory Ulcer" and it hasn't healed... so we have an appointment next Monday with the doggy Opthamologist (again). At least we have pain medication for her that she takes every 12 hours.
Good news- the other eye appears to be clearing of cloudiness so one eye is improving.
We also aspirated a couple of her fatty lumps, and they were benign (and she has a bunch more). However, we need to get her "eye ulcer" better!

ROB'S SINUS NIGHTMARE - After having a sinus infection for 12 weeks and having surgery, the infection seems to have gone away, but the congestion is STILL draining.   I visited the sinus doctor yesterday for a follow up.

Of course, it's MORE complicated than expected.
During surgery, doctor rooted out and widened out the sinuses to promote drainage. The culture taken from surgery said the infection is from "Mouth-bacteria" (so they put me on antibiotic #5 which is now done)

WHAT THEY DISCOVERED (Dentist and Endodontist):
Bacteria had to come through an upper molar  - and 2 roots from the tooth have grown into the sinus. UGH.
Next WED: ROOT CANAL.  Yuck.
**Sinus Doc said "It could take up to 3 months to drain your sinuses." Thaaaaat's great. Not.

Gift/Memorial Suggestions

Several of our friends have lost loved ones (human and pets) and we found that one of the best ways to honor their memory is to give to an animal charity.
What better way to recognize a life of love, than by giving another life a chance for love?
We donate to many animal rescues, but because we volunteer with
DC Weimaraner Rescue and Coast-to-Coast Dachshund Rescue, those are our 2 favorites.
Consider giving the chance of life to a dog or cat.
