Still Remaining Colder Than Normal in Maryland/Washington DC

(PHOTO: The Washington, DC Cherry Blossoms are still shivering this week with temperatures dropping near freezing a couple of nights)
Like this past winter, temperatures in the early spring in Maryland/Washington, DC have been colder than normal and that's where they'll continue to stay for the next 7 days, according to computer models.
Since Nov. 1st, November felt like December; Dec. like January, Feb. was frigid, and in March we had Feb. temps, now in April, we have early March temperatures.
Despite ONE nice day this past Sunday, where the mercury hit 68F on the thermometer (5 degrees above normal for a change), we were BELOW normal Monday (-3F), yesterday (-13F) and today. The average temperature is supposed to be 63. After some SNOW FLURRIES this morning in Washington, DC and Baltimore we'll be lucky to reach 54 today for even one hour. Thursday, April 9-Thursday April 16 will only see highs in the upper 50s. This is still about 7 degrees COLDER than normal.
Despite a couple of nice days in between, we have really had a colder than normal winter and springtime. I think that La Nina will dissipate later in April - that's what the National Climate Prediction Center has been saying over the last month. She's the reason why we've been experiencing these cold temperatures. If so, it looks like the Baltimore/Washington, DC area may jump from Winter to Summer. Maybe we'll get a springtime next year.
