Fight Bullying: Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation

Ben Cohen
There's a great foundation that raises money against bullying in the U.K. and beyond. It was created by a former U.K. Rugby star and World Cup winner named Ben Cohen. During his rugby days, Ben
(who has a wife and 2 daughters) was made aware that he had become a gay icon in the U.K., and as a result was made aware of the severe problem of bullying. He learned that many gay people are bullied and commit suicide, so he developed the anti-bullying foundation called "Standup." - Here's what it's all about -

The Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation is the world's first foundation dedicated to raising awareness of the long-term, damaging effects of bullying by connecting communities and raising funds to support those doing real-world work to eradicate bullying.

ABOUT THE STANDUP FOUNDATION: We stand up against bullying regardless of to whom it happens. We support organizations and projects that help stop bullying, help those hurt by bullying and/or help increase equality and diversity. We do this because up to 50% of children and young people and many adults in the UK say they have experienced bullying. People who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender are even more likely to be bullied. People who are bullied feel disconnected, leading to a sense of isolation and loneliness. They are often wary of others and lack quality friendships. They can suffer from low self-esteem, poor achievement, an increased risk of depression or anxiety and, in extreme cases, a higher risk of suicide.

His foundation raises money and provides it to groups to combat bullying like : http://www.standupfoundation-uk.org/resources/
