Video: You can do Home dog Agility (like Dolly and Tyler!)

Tyler and Dolly Taking a break after training!
At home dog-agility! You can do this with your dog as we do after dinner or on bitter cold days and  It's easy to train your dog at home to go around objects.
1) They'll follow your outstretched hand (as long as it has a treat in it).
2) You can put two chairs out side by side- about 4 feet apart
3) Use your left arm to go around the chair in the right (with left foot extended to the chair so it blocks the dogs way and forces them to go around in clockwise motion).
4) Then, step back as your dog comes around and step to the chair on your left with your right arm and right foot extended to the chair, and do a sweeping motion saying "Go around."
nights when it's too cold to walk your dog for an extended time.
You'll be surprised how quickly they'll learn and it gives them a sense of accomplishment instead of just lying around. Here's a video Tom took of me training Tyler the Dachshund and Dolly the Weimaraner in our den after dinner on the bitter cold night this past Sunday. (Franklin prefers to watch and supervise, and be rewarded with treats).

Gift/Memorial Suggestions

Several of our friends have lost loved ones (human and pets) and we found that one of the best ways to honor their memory is to give to an animal charity.
What better way to recognize a life of love, than by giving another life a chance for love?
We donate to many animal rescues, but because we volunteer with
DC Weimaraner Rescue and Coast-to-Coast Dachshund Rescue, those are our 2 favorites.
Consider giving the chance of life to a dog or cat.
