Home Project: An Aesthetic Faucet Fix!

Our new faucets
Aesthetics are a very important part of anyone's house, and Tom, being an architect is extremely aware of even the smallest details (which is why our house is so well-organized and well-kept - it's not because of me). Recently, Tom said that the two faucets behind the washing machine were sticking up over the machine and didn't allow for the space to be better utilized... like adding a shelf.

You can't see the valves any more!
So, Tom asked our friend Will to come over (Will can do any renovation from plumbing to electrical to building walls and installing windows, so cutting two pipes and making them shorter and soldering them was no problem for him.
Tom bought new faucet valves to replace the ones that were there (since the house was built in the 1960s), and within an hour, the faucets were lowered and hidden behind the washing machine.
WHAT'S NEXT?  - Tom is planning to install a shelf over the washing machine and dryer!
