New (and Inexpensive) Coats for Our Dogs!

There are a couple of tricks to save money we've learned when it comes to

clothing our kids. One is if you have a medium-sized dog to give him/her your tee shirts and sweatshirts. Put them on the dog and then make the appropriate cuts underneath.

For the smaller dogs, like dachshunds, we buy baby shirts, and for the smallest Dachshund, Tyler, infant one-piece outfits. Once on him, we cut out the bottom appropriately. This week, since we've heard the forecast for today being no warmer than 40F with daytime wind chills in the 30s, we looked for a winter coat and sweater for our little 10 pound mini-Dachshund and foster dog, Mack. We remembered the the store Five Below had them last year for very small dogs, so we went there and found some!  A sweater was $3.00 and a winter coat was only $5.00- a bargain at any price.
So, if you have dogs, you can try these or go buy expensive coats.
