Slap the Groundhog, please!

It's Groundhog's Day! Um... My enthusiasm died quickly when it was announced there's going to be six more weeks of winter. Groundhog Punxsutawney Phil predicted it in the tiny western Pennsylvania town today.
It's actually a German tradition that says if a "hibernating animal" (groundhog, bear, etc.) sees its shadow on Feb. 2 — the Christian holiday of Candlemas — winter will last another six weeks. If no shadow is seen, then spring will come early.
All I can say is "DUH, Phil." Baltimore/Washington is under another Winter Storm Warning tonight for 2-5" of snow overnight. THEN, another major snow storm is shaping up for the weekend.
If I see a groundhog, I may just slap him!
