  A northern branch of the Gulf Stream — the vast ocean current that runs from West Africa to the Americas, up the East Coast and back across the Atlantic to the British Isles — has served for ages as a kind of planetary heat pump that helps regulate the planet’s climate.   Now, some scientists think melting ice from Greenland could be inhibiting this crucial northern branch of the current. If that’s the case, they fear, the meltwater could tip the delicate balance of hot and cold that defines not only conditions around the North Atlantic, but life far and wide.  

 Why it matters:  Consequences could include faster sea level rise along parts of the Eastern United States and Europe, stronger hurricanes barreling into the Southeastern United States, and perhaps most ominously, reduced rainfall across the Sahel, the semi-arid swath of land running thewidth of Africa ***************************************************

PIERS MORGAN LEAVES ITV'S GOOD MORNING BRITAIN AFTER ROW OVER MEGHAN REMARKS 

Piers Morgan has left ITV's Good Morning Britain following a row over comments he made about the Duchess of Sussex.  It brings the controversial host's time on the breakfast show to an end after six years.ITV announced the decision after Ofcom said it was investigating his comments after receiving 41,000 complaints. 

  On Monday's show, Morgan said he "didn't believe a word" the duchess had told Oprah Winfrey in an interview.  A total of 41,015 complaints were made to media watchdog Ofcom by 14:00 GMT on Tuesday.  That is the second highest number of complaints in Ofcom's 17-year history, behind the 44,500 submitted over several days about the racism row involving Jade Goody and Shilpa Shetty on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007.

DRIVER DIES IN TOLL PLAZA CRASH 

New Hampshire State Police  

On March 8th, 2021 at approximately 10:13 AM, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police #TroopB Barracks along with fire and medical personnel from the Bedford Fire Department responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash at the toll plaza southbound on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Bedford. 

Upon arrival it was determined that a 2006 Jeep Wrangler had lost control and rolled over in the far left lane of the toll plaza. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 

Richard Cote, Age 65  Manchester, #NH 

As a result of the crash Mr. Cote sustained fatal injuries. A second vehicle was also struck however, the operator did not sustain any injury.Speed appears to be a factor in this crash, however, all aspects remain under investigation and anyone who may have witnessed it is asked to contact Trooper E.
