Home Project! Installed new Vinyl Flooring!

Dash trying out the new floor
This past Sunday we spent the entire afternoon and evening purchasing and installing new vinyl flooring in our den (converted from the garage several years ago). Originally, we installed carpeting and had a small tile landing area where the door to the outside is located.

It seems like right from the installation that carpet was doomed. With 4 dogs, you never know what's going to happen, and accidents did. Of course, while trying to sometimes harness up all four at the door, some couldn't wait, while other times, after drinking excessively (which Franklin has always done, and Dolly does now) sometimes they tend to spit it up... When we adopted Dash in 2018 as a 10 year old, he wasn't house broken, so he enjoyed "christening" the carpet from time to time.

It got to a point where all of the carpet cleaning was useless, so after 1 year of carpet (we replaced it before that), we decided on easy to clean vinyl flooring that looks like wood.
It took about 5 hours to install, and Tom coordinated it, and cut all the pieces. My (Rob) job was easier, as I unpackaged the 5 foot vinyl planks and helped affix some of them.  Tom and our friend Will are installing trim tomorrow to finalize it, but it looks great.
And yes, it was already "christened" once. We are SO happy we installed it already!!
