If you're familiar with the 1950s TV show "The Adventures of Superman" starring George Reeves (as Superman and Clark Kent) and Noel Neill (as Lois Lane) you''ll remember that Lois used to get herself into a lot of messes doing investigative journalism. In 2018, Lois is a more serious, smart, self-sufficient and self-defensive investigative reporter (she's also now married to Superman with a superpowered son, Jon).
As a result of the 1950s TV show, she got her own comic book for many, many years - and NOW she's finally getting a TV show!

An upcoming 2019 DC
Comics TV series called “Metropolis” will reveal the lives of Lois Lane and Lex
Luthor as they “investigate the world of fringe science and expose the city’s
dark and bizarre secrets,” DC said on its website Tuesday. The action takes
place before the “emergence of Superman.” The 13-episode series will air
exclusively on DC’s new digital service, helmed by “Gotham” executive producers
John Stephens and Danny Cannon. DC assured viewers that “Metropolis” will have
a “considerably different tone than Gotham.”
