Home Project: Spring Yard Fix-up!

Sod being trucked in!
We've been struggling for years to make grass grow in the backyard. Recently we had to have a huge, old pine tree taken down because it was rotting. We just had the stump removed and the backyard filled with good soil, thanks to our friend Shayne Ryan of Taproots Lawn and Garden. He did an amazing job. The dark, rich soil he brought in was also laden with manure, so when the dogs came inside, they had to have "foot baths"!
 - Shayne suggested that the best way to overcome the grass problem was laying sod- strips of healthy grass, on top of the newly laid rich soil, so we agreed. He had it trucked in, and carefully laid it out in the backyard. It looks great and we're watering it diligently. Here's hoping for a green backyard!
