JB: Why Do You Have to Be So Mean?
We've been following politics and we're really incensed that John Boenher refuses to work with the President on the debt ceiling. Yesterday he said (I heard it on TV in an interview): "This is not the GOP problem, it's the President's problem (and he needs to do what WE tell him to do)." WRONG, idiot.
It's a serious issue. Social Security checks will be stopped if they don't reach an agreement financially stranding millions of seniors. Bonehead (that's what we call him) refuses to raise taxes on people making over $250,000.00. I don't think more than 5% of Americans make that much money. I don't know anyone that does, do you? Regardless, even Greece is raising taxes to get out of their financial turmoil. We HAVE to do it and who would feel the tax increase less than ultra-rich people?
This is a nasty game that Bonehead is playing. You can't balance a budget with cuts only. You need to increase taxes back to the level they were TEN YEARS AGO (the Bush tax cuts) and remove benefits to oil companies who had record profits last year and FLAUNTED them!
MB: You Idiot: Michelle Bachmann is more of a nightmare than Palin is. She and her stupid husband own a counseling service and claim they can "turn gay people straight through prayer." That ridiculous idea has long been discarded as useless AND harmful to gay people. It doesn't work and it creates emotional distress.
Their christian counseling service located outside Minneapolis. Bachmann started the center with her husband, Marcus who is the lead counselor at the clinic.
According to CNN, For at least five years, Bachmann and Associates has faced accusations it uses a controversial therapy that encourages gay and lesbian patients to change their sexual orientation.
The American Psychological Association is sharply critical of efforts by counselors to change a patient's sexual orientation, what's known in the mental health community as "reparative therapy."
