Sprite Still Looking for a Home

Coast-to-Coast Dachshund Rescue took our foster dog Sprite to an adoption event in Baltimore this weekend, and although a number of people really loved him, when they learned he's 14, they decided not to pursue adopting him.
-How sad, that senior dogs are abandoned and no one wants to care for them. Sprite is very active and "spritely" for a young Dachshund-mix. He goes up and down stairs every day and night with us, runs outside in the backyard chasing Dolly and Franklin, sings (or moans) for his food and treats and loves walks! He doesn't pull, either, which is a NICE change. :)
 - When the rescue person (Kelly) picked him up this weekend and took him to the adoption event, our Weimaraner, Dolly cried. I think they're bonded. Uh-oh! Looks like we're in for "Foster-dog failure."
