Our photos from the Wash DC Pride Parade

Yesterday we went to the Gay pride parade in Washington, DC and met our friends Lynn, Jeff and Gary and some others. It was a perfect day for it, and a interesting parade. I was encouraged by all of the politicians and Churches (yes, churches), and organizations and businesses that are supporting gay marriage. It was really something to see. There were the standard drag queen folks, and leather guys, a lot of floats, some marching bands, and so much more. Tom liked the leather guys and I liked the blue man. : ) Jeff liked the drag queen dressed up as Tina Turner (because he loves Tina Turner anyway).
We stayed for the first 2 1/2 hours of the parade! On a related note, that morning we had an interesting discussion with the woman the cuts our hair. She learned that the parade is a lot of showy stuff, and that we're just as normal as everyone else and we lead "boring lives" like everyone. We have a house, jobs, two dogs, no partying, and go to bed early!
