Rob's Graphic Novel Review: A great 1960s Collection; DC Showcase: Teen Titans Vol.1

The teen supergroup that preceded all teen supergroups was the Teen Titans, consisting of

Robin the boy wonder, Wonder Girl, Aqualad and Kid Flash. They came together in 1964 when they were first put together in DC Comics' Brave and the Bold #54. The public wanted to see that team more, and DC Comics received a lot of letters prompting the team's return. It was so great that they quickly got their own comic. This collection contains their first and early appearances and the stories really reflect the simplicity of the times, and are full of 1960s "lingo" and references from "Mad Mod" to hippies and flower children. The stories are clever and the artwork was great.  - Rob

ABOUT THE BOOK:

The "Showcase" format continues with a volume collecting BRAVE AND THE BOLD #54, 60, SHOWCASE #59, and TEEN TITANS #1-18. Robin, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, and Aqualad unite for adventures only a teen team could handle!
