Installed a Great New Dog Fence!

In mid-June we put together a dog fence in our backyard for our 3 kids. We ordered it and put it together in 20 minutes. Here's the story.

We have a door leading from the garage to the backyard where we take the dogs out.  Because our yard isn't fenced,  we always put them in harnesses and leash them up. When it rains or snows, we put them in raincoats or sweaters, and getting harnesses over those is somewhat cumbersome, so we needed a fence (especially since all the neighbors have dogs, and our dogs don't like other dogs!)

We did some shopping around and considered a chainlink fence, but they were ridiculously expensive to install. So, we searched the internet for options.

Since TEMU has been a site that has a lot of things with Dachshunds on them, we checked for fencing for smaller dogs. They had Pawgiant fence. It is a 16-Panel  Metal Dog Playpen, 31.5 Inch high pet fence, suitable for small and medium sized dogs. There are 2 gates, too.

The fence can be molded into a rounded, square or rectangular shape, so it can easily accommodate whatever space you need it for.

BUYING TIP - It costs $133.00, but if you go through the App Rakuten and order it (Tom told me about it), you can save up to 25%. I did that and received $28.00 back via Paypal. Wow!  It's all about knowing how to buy these things and where!

It took about 15 minutes to put it together in a rectangular shape, using a rubber mallet to pound the 4 foot long hinge-spikes that join the pieces. It's a very inexpensive alternative to other fencing for smaller dogs. Of course, I would never leave the dogs outside unattended, but the benefit here is not having to walk around with 3 leashes on and they get freedom.
