Stony, K9 of the MD Prince George's County Police Passed
The Prince George's Police Department has learned that retired K9 Stony, who was enjoying retirement with his lifelong partner Cpl. McKinniss, has passed away.
Stony joined the PGPD in 2013 and helped apprehend numerous criminals and recover evidence. He was described by the PGPD as a "faithful, loyal partner and family member." He was 12 when he passed away. "Our hearts are heavy at the recent passing of Canine “Stony” of the Prince Georges' County, Maryland Police Department, the PG County Police Facebook page noted.
At the time of his passing Canine “Stony” was enjoying retirement with his lifelong partner Cpl. McKinniss, of the Prince George’s County Police Department, Special Operation Division Canine Section.

Upon joining the Prince George’s County Police Department, “Stony” assisted with the apprehension of criminals and recovery of evidence, all while ensuring the safety of the citizens of Prince George’s County.
Canine “Stony” was a faithful, loyal partner and family member of the Prince George’s County Police Department, Special Operations Division Canine Section, and will truly be missed.
Canine “Stony” was 12 years old at the time of his passing.
