Mary and Casey's Wedding

August 30th, 2010 was our friends Mary and Casey's Wedding Day.
Mary manages the doggy day care where we've been taking Dolly and Franklin for about 6 years. She's the most kind-hearted, caring, wonderful person you'd ever meet. She gives everyone a smile every day (even on the challenging days) and treats all of the dogs as if they were her own.
On Monday afternoon, August 30, a smart man named Casey took her for his wife at the court house in historic Annapolis. I(Rob) was fortunate enough to be there (taking a couple hours off of work). Mary looked stunning in her wedding gown and I got to play "usher" -kind of, while we were waiting for the groom and his family to get situated. I escorted Mary and her dad to the back door of the courthouse's chapel and watched them walk up the short aisle to the altar. There were about 30 people packed in that little chapel, and it was a short and sweet ceremony that brought some moist eyes in the crowd. When Casey was asked if he took Mary to be his bride he said loudly "Absolutely!" That's love! Congratulations Mary and Casey, and we wish you a lifetime of happiness! It was a wonderful ceremony. Gift/Memorial Suggestions

Several of our friends have lost loved ones (human and pets) and we found that one of the best ways to honor their memory is to give to an animal charity.
What better way to recognize a life of love, than by giving another life a chance for love?
We donate to many animal rescues, but because we volunteer with
DC Weimaraner Rescue and Coast-to-Coast Dachshund Rescue, those are our 2 favorites.
Consider giving the chance of life to a dog or cat.
