Q&A Margaret Ehrlich, Inspired Ghost Tracking

As a medium on Inspired Ghost Tracking, I had a Q&A with our group's founder, Margaret Ehrlich.

 Q:- What is Inspired Ghost Tracking and how did you get involved in the paranormal?

Since I was a child and lived in a haunted house, I have had questions about whether the paranormal and ghosts were real. As a girl I lived with my family in an old yellow house that made me very curious about what was out there. (You can read about that experience in Chapter 2 of the book “Case Files of Inspired Ghost Tracking” by Rob Gutro.)

.Years later, after my youngest daughter left for college, I found myself alone and wanting to do something about my interests in the paranormal. So, I decided to form a paranormal group. That is how Inspired Ghost Tracking or IGT got started. Since I started the group in 2008 as a beginner in the field, I have learned much throughout the years. In my opinion and experiences, ghosts do exists and sometimes they need our help to cross them over.

 Q: What do you learn from each paranormal investigation?

Each investigation is different and on each one we learned something from the ghosts with whom we communicated.

 Most importantly, IGT members were able to determine why some people who passed chose to stay behind as earthbound ghosts. Upon learning those reasons, we were able to cross them over and bring them the long-awaited peace they longed for, and we brought peace to the living people where the ghosts had dwelled and disrupted their lives. Those families that once dealt with paranormal problems were finally able to live in ghost-free environments and enjoy their homes.

Q: At one time, Inspired Ghost Tracking Led Ghost Tours at a Maryland Mansion and also in Federal Hill. Tell us about Federal Hill.

After a Halloween open house at Scarborough Fair B&B a couple of years ago, I met owner Barry Werner and, along with other guests like medium Rob Gutro, we shared our experiences. A few months later, Barry and I began ghost tours with the help of Rob and Ronda Dixon, IGT historian. 

 It was a walking tour through the ages around Federal Hill delving into the past with tales of murder, mystery and legend. Inspired Ghost Tracking revealed the techniques and science behind ghost hunting through the historic streets of the neighborhood just two blocks from the Inner Harbor, with owners of the local taverns, shops, and restaurants as they discuss the legends and spirits connected with the area. Q: With interest in the paranormal increasingly popular, how often do you conduct public and private investigations?

Our core group does private investigations whenever we are contacted. This could be two or three per month or maybe just one every couple of months. We've also done public site investigations like Patapsco Female Institute, Fort McHenry, Dr. Mudd’s house, or Westminster Burial Ground. Private would be someone calling us about their home or business. 

Q:- If you had to pick one, what is the spookiest place to visit in Baltimore?

I think it would be hard to pick just one as Baltimore has lots of places to visit that are haunted or spooky, including Poe's grave, Westminster Catacombs, Fort McHenry, USS Constellation, Federal Hill, and Fell’s Point. If I had to pick just one I think I would pick Westminster Catacombs as I had a personal experience there hearing the organ playing one night when nobody was in the church.

Q:- What are some of the most bizarre things you’ve seen in your years of investigating?

We went to Patapsco Female Institute and I got a picture of an apparition that others saw on my camera. When getting home the apparition was gone. Some of the voice recordings that we get are very bizarre, as is knowing that they can answer us. But I think the biggest one is a picture Ronda caught of an apparition at Dr. Mudd’s house.

 Q: How can Maryland visitors get involved and explore Baltimore’s haunted heritage?

There are many ways for them to get involved and explore Baltimore’s haunted heritage through some of the ghost tours around, getting involved in a ghost group, or just exploring on their own.

 Q: Are there a couple of cases in the book "Case Files of Inspired Ghost Tracking" that you find the most interesting?

Considering the book is about our case files, it is hard to pick just one they are all interesting enough for us to add them to a book.

 

 

A Last Meet With: Inspired Ghost Tracking

Inspired Ghost Tracking is the Paranormal group in Maryland that both myself and Tom have been a part of since 2010. Founded by our friend Margaret Ehrlich (inspired to form a group because of her childhood paranormal experiences), the membership reached up to 100 people. Today's blog is a tribute to Margaret and the group, how to read about our investigations and what's to come!

On Friday, December 1st, 2023, I flew into Baltimore from Maine for the last meeting of the Inspired Ghost Tracking Team. The team will still be active, but not meeting monthly anymore. It was great to be with my paranormal family. 

Margaret said on December 1, 2023:  "A bittersweet moment with it being the lastInspired Ghost Tracking Meetup Final Event: Meet & Greet. It was great seeing everyone and talking about our memories. Thanks to all that came and shared time with us." ****BUT the Group is not shut down, it's just the monthly meetings that won't happen. We will STILL BE INVESTIGATING!***

A huge thanks to Margaret for 13 amazing years of organizing, and coordinating lectures, trips, and investigations! "Thanks" just doesn't go far enough. She has made a difference in the healing of so many people living and on the other side- AND she brought people like us together from all walks of life to understand the paranormal, educate, assist, and learn. Being part of Inspired is a gift to me and others, and I know I will continue to work with Margaret and the group remotely to help with other paranormal issues!

Margaret of Inspired Ghost introduces Rob

Afterlife book. As people who attended could tell, it was a very emotional and special book for me. It was difficult to maintain composure when talking about how I've lost 2 canine kids, although they've both come back with many messages.
  There were several times I had to stop and compose myself, and several folks who attended told me they were also brought to tears, but they were happy tears, knowing their pets could communicate with them from beyond. 
   I hope that everyone learned some things, and walked away with understanding, hope, and comfort.

Spirit cat resembled this one 

   SPIRIT ANIMALS AND PEOPLE ABOUND: There was a spirit of a grey, long-haired cat walking around the right side of the room, and I mentioned it during my presentation. Afterward, a married couple came up to me and told me they recently lost a long-haired, gray cat- so their cat wanted to let them know that she's still around them!

   ANOTHER CAT SPIRIT! - Another attendee actually brought her service dog, a Labrador Retriever. I sensed the spirit of a white cat with beige patches on it near the men's room door. The woman's lab kept going over the door and afterward, she told me that her dog was bonded to a cat that matched that description, but she had to give the cat up for adoption. It could be that the cat has passed and made an appearance to let her and her dog know she's still around...
  There was also the spirit of a dog, that looked like a white dog with black spots- like a beagle or pointer, walking around the back left part of the room. There was a grandmother of one of the attendees standing there in spirit as well, and the spirit of a young girl who died in a car accident. The room was crowded with the living and the dead and with humans, cats and dogs!

Part 1: A Meeting of Minds and Mediums

On April 10 and 11, we took the day off to welcome our friend and medium, Ruthie Larkin - who came to visit 4 families, each of whom lost a teenager in a car accident one year a
go in eastern Maryland. I (Rob) got to go with Ruthie and meet the families, and provided a background on how mediumship works, and how spirits send signs and messages.

RUTHIE'S IMMEDIATE CONNECTIONS - Ruthie really is amazing. She told me on the way over that someone's mother died in the last year or two (one of the teenage boys' grandmothers)  and that one of the boys is with her. She gave other details, too. Once in the house, she walked up to a young woman and asked if she was a sister. She nodded "yes." Ruthie said that her brother's spirit told her that she got a tattoo in her honor (the girl was wearing long sleeves and didn't have any visible tattoos). She rolled up her sleeve and showed Ruthie a big tattoo in her brother's memory.Ruthie stayed the rest of the day and met with each family member and provided a lot more amazing signs and confirmations!

A persistent Robin visits

  During Ruthie's opening, I got some messages that were confirmed.One was about robins, one was about airplanes.

ROBINS - MORE THAN A SIGN OF SPRING -  Two of the teenage boys' spirits told that their parents were sent Robins who lingered around them for days. That was a sign from them that they're both still around they're families.  
   NOTE: Spirits will send birds, insects or small animals to people to let them know they're around. It's just not a matter of a bird coming, but lingering and returning over and over, which is what happened here. 
  While I was giving my introduction, I mentioned this and two different parents acknowledged they each had a Robin around them. One father said that a Robin has been returning to his window over and over. Another father and mother said that a Robin has been around their lawn - the same one, over and over in a certain spot (not in a tree).

AIRPLANES - One of the teenage boys also showed me visions of planes flying overhead and coming in for a landing. He "told" me that he loved watching planes and was fascinated by them. I clearly saw the underside of a  plane landing. He told me to tell his parents "whenever a plane flies overhead, I'm standing with you." His dad disappeared for a minute and returned with a photo of he and his son in front of a Navy fighter jet and told me his son loved airplanes.
   - It's simple messages that help identify a spirit and let others know that they're around.
