Meet the Newest School Bully - In Florida

I despise bullies. There's something missing in their own lives that causes them to be hateful to people they don't know - and bullying gets them the attention they crave. I was bullied in school because I was the shortest kid in elementary school and junior high. Then I was bullied in junior high because I had no interest in dating women (and stayed closeted). Now, students are being bullied for believing in Science and Medicine and taking precautions to stay healthy.

Every day in the U.S., someone is bullied whether child or adult. So many teenagers are bullied to the point where they commit suicide. People in offices bully their co-workers. And we also have bullies in political positions. Here's one of those bullies who acted against intelligent high school and college students in Florida to promote his dumb anti-science/political agenda. He's Florida's governor. Here's the story>

Florida  Gov. Ron DeSantis Bullies Students to Remove Protective COVID Masks

Politico (a non-partisan news source) reported on March 2, 2022:

Florida  Gov. Ron DeSantis was Identified as a “Bully” after video surfaced of him curtly asking a group of students to take off their masks before a press conference in Tampa. Hillsboro County, where Tampa is located currently has a high transmission rate of COVID.

“You do not have to wear those masks,” DeSantis told the students as he took the podium at the University of South Florida on Wednesday. “Please take them off. Honestly, it’s not doing anything. We’ve got to stop with this Covid theater. So, if you want to wear it, fine — but this is ridiculous.”

Some of the students, visiting from a local Hillsborough County high school, took off their masks at the governor’s urging while others opted to keep them on their faces.

HIS HISTORY OF BULLYING PEOPLE WHO TRUST SCIENCE - DeSantis for months has railed against protective face coverings and other Covid-19 restrictions, including mandatory vaccinations and vaccine passports. During the height of the Delta Covid-19 variant surge in the state, the Republican governor prohibited Florida’s schools from implementing mandatory mask-wearing for students and staff, leading to a protracted battle with some of the state’s largest school districts and the Biden administration over the issue.

WHAT IS BULLYING?  In 2014, the Centers for Disease Control and Department of Education released the first federal definition of bullying. The definition includes three core elements:

  • unwanted aggressive behavior
  • observed or perceived power imbalance
  • repetition or high likelihood of repetition of bullying behaviors

This definition helps determine whether an incident is bullying or other type of aggressive behavior, such as one-time physical fights, online arguments, or incidents between adults. Some bullying actions can fall into criminal categories, such as harassment, hazing, or assault.
