Idiot of the week: NH Man Accused Of Driving Drunk At 124 MPH on I-93

Last week's idiot was a drunk driving teenager in Maine. This week's idiot is a drunk driving 58 year old adult from New Hampshire. What's with all the drunk speeders in northern New England? Maybe if New Hampshire didn't have liquor stores off the Interstate, there would be less of them...?

WINDHAM, NH — A man from Manchester was arrested last month after being accused of drunken driving at excessive speeds, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Around 7:10 p.m. on April 26, a state trooper patrolling the northbound side of Interstate 93 in Windham saw a driver in a Ford Mustang “changing lanes recklessly” that was clocked at 124 mph.

The red 2023 Mustang was stopped and the driver, Michael J. Stone, 58, of Manchester, was questioned. He was arrested later on an aggravated driving while intoxicated charge. Stone was released and will be arraigned in Salem District Court at a later date, state police said.

BRADFORD, Vt. — A man from South Paris, Maine is facing charges after Vermont State Police say he tried to drive his car over a wooden footbridge on private property.

Police say Christopher Shorey, 70, was in Bradford, Vermont, at about 3 p.m. Wednesday when he drove down a narrow walking trail and tried to cross the foot bridge. A picture shared by police shows the car had to go down a hill with a narrow path before getting to the bridge.

Shorey's 2018 Volvo S90 broke through the bridge, causing extensive damage. Police said the car was partially hanging off the edge of the bridge.

Firefighters helped get Shorey safely out of the car.

Troopers say they observed signs of impairment and say Shorey made comments about drinking.

He was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to be checked out and then issued a citation on charges of driving under the influence and negligent operation. He is due in court in September.

The car was being removed from the bridge on Thursday.

The bridge itself was built in 1997 and helps connect a walking path to the elementary school in town, though it is privately owned. Volunteers were already working to rally supplies and efforts to rebuild the bridge.

Idiot of the Week: Former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice who led 2020 election probe agrees to surrender law license

This week's idiot is another corrupt white, straight conservative who tried pushing Trump's election conspiracy theory. This bag of trash surrendered his law license after multiple counts of misconduct were found. No surprise there.  That's today's blog.

Former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice who led 2020 election probe agrees to surrender law license
By TODD RICHMOND, AP, April 7, 2025

A former Wisconsin state Supreme Court justice who spread election conspiracies and led an investigation into President Donald Trump’s 2020 loss in the swing state agreed Monday to surrender his law license to settle multiple misconduct violations.

The state Office of Lawyer Regulation filed a 10-count complaint in November against Michael Gableman, accusing him of misconduct during the probe. The state Supreme Court ultimately could revoke Gableman’s law license, although the court rarely administers such a harsh punishment against wayward attorneys.

The OLR and Gableman filed a stipulation with the Supreme Court on Monday (April 7, 2025) in which they agreed an appropriate sanction would be suspending Gableman’s license for three years. A referee overseeing the case and the Supreme Court must approve the agreement before it can take effect.

Gableman acknowledged in the filing that the complaint provides “an adequate factual basis” and that he couldn’t successfully defend himself against the allegations.

Complaint linked to fruitless election probe

The complaint stems from Gableman’s investigation into allegations of fraud related to the 2020 election that Trump narrowly lost in Wisconsin. Under pressure from Trump, Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos hired Gableman to lead the probe.

2nd Idiot of the Week: Newsmax - Conservative network to pay $67M in defamation case

This weekend there are two idiots of the week, because, well, I'd be posting them into December. NewsMax, the conservative network, who knowingly broadcast lies about the 2020  presidential election being stolen. These companies, people and organizations that bought into all of those lies from the felon, like Fox News - have successfully been sued and lost millions once the truth was known. But, they don't learn.  Think about all of the people who worked in the felon's first administration - where are  they now? Either in prison, sued, or not supporting him. Again, all these idiots. This story is about Newsmax, though- Idiot #2 of the week.

Conservative network Newsmax agrees to pay $67M in defamation case over bogus 2020 election claims

By NICHOLAS RICCARDI , AP August 18, 2025

DENVER (AP) — The conservative network Newsmax will pay $67 million to settle a lawsuit accusing it of defaming a voting equipment company by spreading lies about President Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss, according to documents filed Monday.

The settlement comes after Fox News Channel paid $787.5 million to settle a similar lawsuit in 2023 and Newsmax paid what court papers describe as $40 million to settle a libel lawsuit from a different voting machine manufacturer, Smartmatic, which also was a target of pro-Trump conspiracy theories on the network.

Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric Davis had ruled earlier that Newsmax did indeed defame Denver-based Dominion Voting Systems by airing false information about the company and its equipment. But Davis left it to a jury to eventually decide whether that was done with malice, and, if so, how much Dominion deserved from Newsmax in damages. Newsmax and Dominion reached the settlement before the trial could take place.

The settlement was disclosed by Newsmax in a new filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. It said the deal was reached Friday.

Idiot of the week Mass. driver charged with speeding 120 mph

Another weekend, another idiot speeding. This moron was doing TWICE the speed limit on a well-traveled state highway in New Hampshire. He also drove north from Massachusetts to share his stupidity.

Mass. BMW driver charged with speeding 120 mph

The New Hampshire Union Leader, Manchester, Mon, May 26, 2025 at 6:51 PM EDT

A Massachusetts man was arrested after he drove more than double the speed limit on Route 16 in Ossipee.

At 2:49 p.m. on Sunday, a state trooper was patrolling Route 16 in Ossipee when he observed a BMW traveling at 120 mph.

The trooper conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Jacob Driscoll, 28, of Peabody, Mass.

Driscoll was arrested and charged with reckless operation. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Ossipee District Court on July 30, 2025.

Idiot of the Week: Another Jan. 6er Imprisoned for Life. He plotted to kill FBI special agents who investigated him

There's a reason why the criminals who participated in Jan. 6th were imprisoned. Since the felon pardoned them all earlier this year, quite a few have committed more crimes and have been imprisoned again. This week's idiot got life for plotting to kill 2 FBI agents who investigated him. And his co-conspirator's trial is next. Sigh.

Jan. 6 defendant sentenced to life in prison for plotting to kill FBI special agents who investigated him

President Donald Trump's mass pardon of Jan. 6 rioters did not apply to Edward Kelley's separate plot to murder law enforcement officials, the Justice Department said.

July 2, 2025 MSNBC, By Ryan J. Reilly

WASHINGTON — A Jan. 6 defendant who plotted to murder FBI special agents who investigated him over his actions at the Capitol was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday.

Edward Kelley was convicted in November of conspiracy to murder employees of the United States; solicitation to commit a crime of violence; and influencing or retaliating against federal officials by threat. President Donald Trump pardoned Kelley, alongside roughly 1,500 other Jan. 6 defendants, in January.

U.S. District Judge Thomas A. Varlan imposed the sentence on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 during a hearing in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Kelley's team argued that Trump's pardon should apply to his conduct in the murder plot. While the Justice Department had argued that the pardons should apply to separate gun cases against other Jan. 6 defendants, they said the pardon did not apply to Kelley's conduct. A federal judge ruled that Trump's pardon did not apply to the murder plot.

Federal prosecutors sought life in prison for Kelley, calling him “remorseless" and writing that he had "shown neither a capacity nor desire" to rehabilitate.

"On the contrary, Kelley not only believes the actions for which he was convicted were justified but that his duty as a self-styled ‘patriot’ compelled him to target East Tennessee law enforcement for assassination,” federal prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo.

Kelley, prosecutors wrote, "committed crimes that are serious, violent, and all designed to achieve the same end: the murder of federal, state, and local law enforcement."

Kelley "formed a self-styled militia to attack the FBI," and "conducted combat drills to realize his plan," they wrote. He "strategized ways to bomb the FBI Knoxville office" and "identified a 'hornet’s nest' at which to store his various weapons at 'arms’ reach.'" Kelley also "devised a kill list of individual agents to be targeted" and then "gave the go-ahead command — 'start it' — to his confederates, noting that 'every hit has to hurt.'"

Kelley's lawyer wrote that "no individual was directly threatened with harm or violence by Kelley, and no one was injured" and that "Kelley does not deserve the same sentence as an actual 'terrorist' who injured or killed hundreds or thousands" of Americans.

Austin Carter, who admitted that he conspired with Kelley in the murder plot and pleaded guilty, is scheduled to be sentenced next month.

Idiot of the Week: Botched penile tattoo left man with permanent problem

This week's idiot took tattooing too far. He had a tattoo done on his privates, and it caused bleeding and apparently badly injured arteries causing a physical condition. BTW, apparently there are many others who have done this... First, you'd have to know you're tattoo artist very, very well. Second, what in the world was this moron thinking about getting a hot, pointed object used in that extremely sensitive place on his body. Third, how many others are going to see the tattoo? There are so many idiot questions, but here's the story.

Botched penile tattoo left man with permanent damage

Livescience: Nicoletta Lanese published

The patient: A 21-year-old man in Iran

The symptoms: The patient reported that his penis had been "partially rigid" for three months.

What happened next: Upon examining the man, doctors noted that he had a tattoo along the top of the penile shaft, as well as another tattoo on the glans, or tip of the penis. The man initially told the doctors he'd gotten the tattoos several years prior, but he later said he'd gotten them just before his symptoms emerged.

The tattooist had used a handheld needle, the patient said, which is a common traditional tattooing technique. Afterward, the patient experienced bleeding and pain for a number of days. After the pain subsided, the man experienced "longer-than-usual sleep-related erections," which worsened to the point that his penis was "half-rigid" all the time.

His doctors further investigated his medical history and ran many lab tests, including brain scans to look for abnormalities and blood tests to rule out infections. Using sound waves to assess blood flow in the penis, the doctors saw "pseudoaneurysms" in the tattooed area, meaning there were places where the arteries had been injured, causing blood to pool.

The diagnosis: The man was diagnosed with "nonischemic priapism." Priapism refers to prolonged erections that occur in the absence of sexual stimulation, or that continue long after sexual stimulation has ceased.

The most common form of priapism — ischemic priapism — occurs when a blockage prevents deoxygenated blood from exiting the penis, or when certain drugs prevent that blood flow. This can quickly lead to tissue damage, permanent scarring and impotence.

In nonischemic priapism, though, blood flow is not blocked, so there's less pain and a low risk of permanent damage. This condition, also called "high-flow priapism," typically occurs when an artery in the erectile tissue is injured and allows too much blood to be continuously pumped into the penis.

The treatment: The appropriate treatment wasn't available at the facility where the patient was examined, so he was referred to another facility for a superselective embolization, a procedure that would have blocked blood flow through the injured arteries to reduce blood flow in the penis. "Predictably, the procedure was unsuccessful," the man's doctors wrote in the case report.

Following the procedure, the man continued to experience half-rigid priapism. He was disappointed with the surgery's outcome. But ultimately, the condition was painless and he maintained "moderately good" erectile function during intercourse. For those reasons, he declined further treatment and instead lives with the condition, his doctors reported.

What makes the case unique: At the time the case was published, in 2012, the doctors wrote that it was the "first case of nonischemic priapism following penile tattooing" ever described in the medical literature.

"In our case, most probably, the handheld [tattoo] needle penetrated the penis too deep," the doctors wrote. "Based on our unique case, we discourage penile tattooing."

The patient, for his part, reported having no regret over the tattoo and no depression or other psychological symptoms related to the priapism.

Idiot of the Week: Man climbs into mausoleum and couldn't get out.

We like exploring cemeteries, but would never, ever disturb someone's burial place, but this week's idiot didn't mind. He crawled into a mausoleum (who does that?!?), and had to be rescued. He's this week's idiot.

Man climbs into mausoleum and can't get out. Now he faces criminal charges.
Karen Dandurant Foster's Daily Democrat, May 5, 2025

DURHAM, NH — Emergency responders were sent to an unusual call Thursday night, May 1, a person who was reportedly stuck inside a mausoleum at Jackson's Landing.

Assistant Police Chief David Holmstock confirmed that a male, not a juvenile, had been rescued from the structure. He did not know how he had gotten inside.

"Criminal trespassing charges will be forthcoming," said Holmstock. "We will be putting together a warrant."

Emergency crews had to rescue a man who entered the Emerson Mausoleum at Jackson's Landing Thursday night and then couldn't get out.

Durham Fire Marshal Brendan O'Sullivan said they were toned out at 10:09 p.m. Thursday, May 1.

"There were no injuries," said O'Sullivan. "Crews got him out and then left him with police. Apparently gravity was on his side going in, but it worked against him when he tried to get out."

O'Sullivan said the unidentified man called someone with his cell phone from inside the tomb and they called for help.

Town Administrator Todd Selig said the mausoleum is owned by the Emerson family, one of the town's founding families.

"Jackson's Landing is owned by the town, but the mausoleum predates that," Selig said. "It is private, and on the water, a beautiful final resting place."

Selig said there is also a small cemetery there, but the mausoleum sits apart from it.

"We had the area surveyed this winter," Selig said. "There has been some shifting of granite there. I can only speculate that this person found a crack, maybe crawled in and then got stuck."

Idiot of the Week: Conservative author, teacher molested student & Orange Felon Insults Liberia

This week's idiot is Aaron Craig Gleason, who pleaded not guilty to molesting a 12 year old girl in Bible Class. Ironically, on social media he accused drag queens of "grooming" kids for molestation and he was doing it all along, hiding behind religion.  BONUS Idiot at the end of the blog: The Orange felon insulted the Liberian President. There are just too many idiots to highlight once a week!

Conservative author, teacher charged with molesting student at private Christian school

Mollye Barrows, Pensacola News Journal, Feb 11, 2025

A self-described Christian philosopher, writer and teacher at a private Christian school in Okaloosa County is accused of molesting one of his female students during Bible Class.

Aaron Craig Gleason is charged with lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim less than 12 years of age. Gleason, a teacher and soccer coach at Rocky Bayou Christian School, also writes regularly for several national conservative publications and has posted accusations on social media that drag queens are “grooming” kids for molestation.

Gleason has pleaded not guilty to molesting the student and is out of jail on $75,000 bond.

According to Niceville police, the victim alleged that in December she approached Gleason at his desk at school to discuss an assignment during Bible Class. When the discussion ended, police say Gleason, who was sitting down, gave the girl a “side hug” but slid his hand from her back to her backside, kept it there, and began rubbing his thumb up and down her buttocks.

Police say the victim’s account was corroborated by two other students. The girl Gleason is accused of molesting also told police that her teacher “has made several comments that have made her uncomfortable.”

According to Gleason’s arrest report, the girl claimed Gleason told her that “she looked cute wearing a flower clip in her hair,” and then followed up with the question, “Or are you just trying to be deceptive?” The comments were corroborated by one other student, police say.

According to Mid Bay News, the Superintendent of Rocky Bayou Christian School Mike Mosley sent out an email to parents that said, “I regret to inform you that one of our Middle School teachers was arrested today by local law enforcement officers. The teacher has been on paid administrative leave and off campus for two weeks. RBCS is fully cooperating with authorities in this matter until authorities have concluded their investigation. Please pray for our school and students during this difficult time.”

Gleason has written for primarily conservative publications with numerous articles on Hollywood, movies and the media’s impact on conservative values and culture.

In his bio on The Federalist’s website, Gleason says he is “a proud alumnus of Biola University and Talbot Seminary. He teaches philosophy full-time. His writing has appeared in numerous outlets including Hollywood in Toto, The Daily Wire, and The Imaginative Conservative.” Gleason also writes under A.C. Gleason. The Imaginative Conservative has removed his bio from its website as did The Daily Wire, but his bio on the latter can still be found on the Internet Archive website

In 2023, Gleason shared a video on X of protestors from a New York City Drag March. In it he says, “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children,” and “No grooming going on here, they’re just coming for our children.”

BONUS IDIOT!!!!  You would think that a politician who meets someone from a foreign country would do a little homework, like "what's the official Language?" "official religion?" "trade policies?" "History with the U.S.?" - NOPE.  This week's BONUS IDIOT is the orange felon who insultedthe president of Liberia.

Trump praised Liberian president’s ‘beautiful English.’ It’s been the country’s official language since the 1800s.

By MARK MENGONFIA, MONIKA PRONCZUK and WILSON MCMAKIN, Associated Press July 10, 2025

MONROVIA, Liberia (AP) — There was confusion and anger in Liberia on Thursday after U.S. President Donald Trump praised the English skills of President Joseph Boakai.

“Such good English,” Trump said to Boakai, with visible surprise. “Such beautiful English.”

English has been the west African nation’s official language since the 1800s. But Trump did not stop there. “Where did you learn to speak so beautifully?” he continued, as Boakai murmured a response. “Where were you educated? Where? In Liberia?”

The exchange took place during a meeting in the White House between Trump and five West African leaders on Wednesday, amid a pivot from aid to trade in the U.S. foreign policy.

Liberia has had deep ties with the United States for centuries. It was first established with the aim of relocating freed slaves from the United States.

Foday Massaquio, chairman of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change-Council of Patriots, said that while the remarks were typical of Trump’s engagement with foreign leaders, what some saw as the condescending tone was amplified by the fact that the leaders were African.

“As a matter of fact, it also proves that the West is not taking us seriously as Africans,” he said. “President Trump was condescending, he was very disrespectful to the African leader.”

Trump’s comments added to the sense of betrayal which became palpable in Liberia in recent months. Earlier this month, U.S. authorities dissolved theU.S. Agency for International Development and said it was no longer following what they called “a charity-based foreign aid model.” That decision sent shockwaves across Liberia, where American support made up almost 2.6% of the gross national income, the highest percentage anywhere in the world, according to the Center for Global Development.

Liberians thought they would be spared from Trump’s cuts because of the countries’ close relationship. Their political system is modeled on that of the U.S., along with its flag. Liberians often refer to the U.S. as their “big brother.”

Liberia was one of the first countries to receive USAID support, starting in 1961. The street signs, taxis and school buses resemble those in New York.

“In the first place, Liberia is a long standing friend of the USA, therefore Trump should have understood that we speak English as an official language,” said Moses Dennis, 37, a businessman from Monrovia. He added that Boakai did not go to Washington for “an English speaking competition.”

“Liberia is an English speaking country,” he said. “Former slaves and slave owners decided to organize themselves to let go of many people who were in slavery in the United States of America, and they landed on these shores now called the Republic of Liberia.”

For him, the exchange was “condescending and ridiculing.” Joseph Boakai was mocked.

Idiots of the Week: Fireworks: Large Illegal Display CA fatality, MD Teen Injured, House Fire, Garage Fire, Boat Explosion

This week's idiots are about people who use illegal fireworks that resulted in injuries, property damage and 2 deaths. There was a large Illegal display in California killed a child. There was a fatality from 2 men in boats lighting fireworks, there was a Maryland teen injured and a costly garage fire.  There's a reason why something is not legal. Sadly, some paid the ultimate price because of the idiots that didn't respect that. Be smart.

1)  California Homeowner's Large Fireworks Display Kills Girl
An 8-year-old girl has died after suffering critical injuries due to a fireworks-related explosion in Buena Park, California, the city’s police department said in a statement on Saturday, July 5th. Officers were patrolling the area of Cornflower Circle on the Fourth of July at around 9:45 p.m. where they saw a “large quantity of fireworks detonate in this area.” A homeowner placed a large illegal fireworks display in the street when it began misfiring toward the home. The fireworks caused other illegal fireworks to ignite near the area where the child and other people were present. The homeowner was arrested, and charges are pending upon review from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, the statement said. The child suffered critical injuries due to a fireworks-related explosion and was taken to the University of California, Irvine hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

2) Fireworks Spark Catastrophic Hand Injury

A 14-year-old Prince George's County, Maryland teen boy was using fireworks when he suffered a "catastrophic hand injury" the night of July 4. He was taken to a local hospital where he underwent emergency surgery, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal. Investigators confirmed the fireworks involved were not legally permitted in Maryland and the injuries are expected to result in permanent damage.

"This is exactly why fireworks should never be in children's hands, especially when illegal and unregulated," said Maryland Acting State Fire Marshal Jason M. Mowbray.

3) Massive Garage Fire in Maryland

Over the holiday weekend, improperly discarded fireworks caused a fire in Wicomico County, Maryland ignited a garage and causing approximately $3,000 in damage. No injuries were reported.

4) Fireworks explosion on boat in Upstate NY kills one, injures another

Jul. 07, 2025, 12:04 p.m. By Anne Hayes Syracuse.com

Hancock, N.Y. — One man was killed and another was injured in a fireworks explosion on a boat in Delaware County Friday. Two men were on a pontoon boat setting off fireworks on Somerset Lake on the Fourth of July, according to State Police Monday. Around 9:40 p.m., multiple fireworks ignited at the same time, causing an explosion on the boat on Ridge Runner Road in Hancock, troopers said. Troopers found one man with non-life-threatening injuries and another man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

4) Tree and home Catch Fire in Neighborhood from Fireworks

Folsom, California-  Firefighters from the Folsom, California Fire Department responded to a tree fire at a residential home on Kerr Court in Folsom around 9:05 p.m. The flames threatened three homes and spread to a fence and an outbuilding. According to FFD, the fire grew quickly under strong winds and had already began to burn one home by the time crews arrived. The flames destroyed a wood fence and an outbuilding. It also caused minor damage to one home. However, firefighters determined the home was still safe to occupy. Firefighters said they contained the fire in 12 minutes and suspect it was caused by fireworks.

Idiots of the Week: Alabama prisons illegally harvested the organs of dead prisoners

Well, here's a gruesome bunch of idiots. Illegally harvesting organs from prisoners who died in Alabama prisons... I get there's a need for organs to transplant or study, but there's a law that says next of kin need to be asked first. They weren't. Here's the story of these modern-day "grave robbers."

Lawsuit alleging Alabama officials illegally harvested inmates’ organs can proceed

By SAFIYAH RIDDLE, AP, April 11, 2025

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A lawsuit that accuses Alabama prisons of illegally harvesting the organs of people who died while incarcerated will be allowed to proceed, a state judge ruled on Tuesday.

The consolidated lawsuits filed by eight families alleges that the Alabama Department of Corrections illegally allowed the University of Alabama at Birmingham to study the organs of their deceased incarcerated relatives without the consent of the next of kin. The families say that the public entities intentionally hid their misconduct.

Alabama Circuit Court Judge J.R. Gaines denied the defendant’s motion to dismiss the case based on state immunity, which protects state officials from lawsuits if they are acting within their official capacities.

Lawyers for the defense argued that the Alabama Department of Corrections and the University of Alabama at Birmingham had a contract authorizing the autopsies. Because the contract was between two state entities, the defense argued, it was protected by state immunity.

Gaines wrote that immunity doesn’t apply if their actions violate the law or when they act “willfully, maliciously, fraudulently, in bad faith, beyond their authority or under a mistaken interpretation of the law.”

Gaines also said that the statute of limitations doesn’t apply for inmates who died more than two years ago if the defendants attempted to fraudulently conceal the alleged crimes.

Attorneys for the defendants did not respond to an emailed request for comment.

Lawyers for the families argued that the contract itself was illegal. They cited a state law that prohibits medical examiners from keeping organs without the consent of the next of kin.

“We are encouraged to see our legal system affirm that no one is above accountability,” said Lauren Faraino, an attorney representing all eight families. “What our clients seek is recognition that harm occurred and a path forward rooted in responsibility and truth.”

After a February hearing, Faraino said the allegedly illegal practice represented a “pattern.” Two more families have also filed separate lawsuits with similar allegations in Jefferson and Barbour counties.

Family members of Kelvin Moore attended a hearing in February about the state’s immunity motion. Moore died in 2023 in Limestone Correctional Facility in northern Alabama.

After Moore’s body was returned without his organs, Moore’s family drove four hours to the University of Alabama at Birmingham and picked up a sealed red bag containing what they were told was their brother’s remains. They buried the bag along with the rest of his body.

“You’re robbing the deceased. We’re responsible for laying them to rest. We probably can never lay Kelvin to rest now,” said Kelvin Moore’s brother Simone Moore.

Between 2006 and 2015, the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Division of Autopsy got 23% of their yearly income from the Department of Corrections autopsies and 29% from the state’s department of forensic sciences, according to a study presented to the Ethics Oversight Committee in 2018 by former medical students. The study was entered as evidence by the lawyers suing the state.

The medical students wrote that the organs of formerly incarcerated people were considered especially useful to study because the diseases were often more severe because of the lack of medical attention in prisons.

In other words, lawyers for the families wrote in a complaint, “it is easier to study a 3 cm tumor than a 3 mm one.”

One of the reports authored by the former students said that a third of the samples in the lab that studied lungs were from dead incarcerated people, the court filing said.

“If this was occurring at a local hospital, if this was occurring at a local funeral home, the AG’s office would be investigating it, not using their lawyers to defend it,” Michael Strickland, an attorney for the families, said in February.

Idiots of the Week: Dozens of drivers caught speeding over 100 mph on I-93 in NH

There's a dangerous problem in New Hampshire, and it's drivers who decide that driving at excessive and dangerous speeds is something to do. They obviously have no regard for anyone's safety. Memorial Day weekend brought out dozens of insane, selfish drivers on Interstate 93 in NH, which goes through the large cities of Manchester and state capitol of Concord. Here's the story.

‘Reckless driving’: Dozens of drivers clocked at speeding over 100 mph on I-93 in NH

By Maria Papadopoulos, Boston 25 News May 26, 2025 at 8:34 pm EDT

SALEM, N.H. — A Massachusetts man driving a sports car at approximately 140 mph was among dozens of drivers who were stopped for excessive speed on Interstate 93 on Memorial Day, state police said Monday.

Brandon E. Babcock, 22, of Salem, Massachusetts, was arrested on multiple charges, including reckless driving and disobeying an officer, state police said.

Babcock was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Salem District Court on July 17.

Babcock is among 42 drivers who were clocked traveling at 90 mph or faster, and six drivers who were seen driving recklessly at 100 mph or faster, state police said.

On Monday morning, troopers assigned to the Special Enforcement Unit used the unit’s fixed-wing aircraft to detect dangerous driving behaviors on I-93 northbound in Salem, state police said.

Troopers noted 111 motor vehicle violations, which included excessive speed, cell phone use, following too closely, “Move Over” law violations, and reckless driving, state police said.

At 7:45 a.m. Monday, troopers saw a white 2024 Corvette traveling at 110 mph.

When troopers attempted to stop the Corvette, the driver, later identified as Babcock, “sped up significantly and passed other drivers recklessly, across all other lanes of travel,” state police said.

Trooper Thomas Lombardi monitored the vehicle from the State Police aircraft, noting speeds of approximately 140 mph before the driver of the Corvette got off the interstate at Exit 3 and continued onto side roads in Windham.

Lombardi kept an eye on the Corvette from the sky and guided troopers to its location on the ground, state police said.

Ultimately, Sgt. John LaPointe pulled Babcock over on Johnson Road, and arrested him.

The minimum penalties for reckless driving in New Hampshire include a fine of $620 with an additional mandatory penalty assessment and a 60-day loss of driver’s license, state police said.

The standard fine for traveling 86 mph or greater is $434.

Idiot of the Week: Texas mother arrested after bringing Jell-O shots to 5th-grade classroom party

You have to wonder just how screwed up some families are behind the walls of their homes. This week's idiot is about a mother who brought jello shooters to a 5th grade class party. Do you think that family has a problem with alcohol? Here's the story.

Texas mother arrested after bringing Jell-O shots to 5th-grade classroom party
A Texas mother who officials say took alcoholic Jell-O shots to her child’s elementary school Christmas party has been arrested.

Teresa Isabel Bernal, 33, was charged with injury to a child in connection to a party Dec. 20 at Jones Elementary School in Tyler Texas.

Bernal purchased the Jell-O shots from a home business she found on Facebook, according to the arrest affidavit.

The shots were laid out on a table along with treats students had brought to share in a cafeteria where fifth-grade classes gathered, officials said.

Fifteen students consumed the shots, and nearly all reported “having stomach aches and headaches,” the affidavit said.

One student told police he vomited twice at school that day, and another student said he “passed out” at school after consuming the Jell-O shot, according to the affidavit.

One student reported that he had six Jell-O shots and got dizzy. When he returned to his classroom, he “got dizzy and fell and felt like he could not get back on his feet,” the affidavit said.

When questioned by a Tyler Independent School District police officer, Bernal said she did not know the shots contained alcohol, but conceded “they do taste different,” the arrest affidavit said. She said she discovered the shots had alcohol only after the children had consumed some of them, according to officials.

A teacher told police that two other teachers tried the shots and said they believed the shots contained alcohol. The teacher tried one herself but couldn't tell because of the flavor, police said.

The teacher took the kids back to her class and sent those who consumed a Jell-O shot to the nurse's office. After that, just four children remained in her class, officials said.

The party took place just before holiday break, and the investigating officer interviewed teachers when they returned to work Jan. 6.

“During the interviews I was told, while some of the teachers found it odd that Bernal would bring Jell-O shots to an elementary school party, they were trusting Bernal to not bring anything harmful to the school party. Bernal was an involved parent and was present at many functions at the school,” the file said.

The Facebook sweets business Bernal had purchased the shots from had a clear disclaimer on its website stating the shots were made with Smirnoff vodka, the affidavit said.

“In my opinion, there is no way Bernal could have missed the fact that the Jell-O shots she purchased … and brought to her daughter’s 5th grade Christmas party contained drinking alcohol,” the officer wrote in the affidavit.

Testing of the shots also indicated the shots did contain ethanol.

Bernal was arrested and booked into the Smith County Jail on Monday and posted $75,000 bond the same day. It's not immediately clear if she's retained an attorney.

Idiot of the Week: American YouTuber who left a Diet Coke can for a reclusive tribe on an island, arrested in India

This week's idiot is a YouTuber. Nothing like destroying reclusive societies by dumping American garbage among them. That's what today's idiot did.

American YouTuber who left a Diet Coke can for a reclusive tribe on an island, arrested in India

By RAJESH ROY, AP, April 7, 2025

NEW DELHI (AP) — Indian police have arrested a 24-year-old American Youtuber who visited an off-limits island in the Indian ocean and left an offering of a Diet Coke can and a coconut in an attempt to make contact with an isolated tribe known for attacking intruders.

Mykhailo Viktorovych Polyakov, from Scottsdale, Arizona, was arrested on March 31, two days after he set foot on the restricted territory of North Sentinel Island — part of India’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands — in a bid to meet people from the reclusive Sentinelese tribe, police said.

A local court last week sent Polyakov to a 14-day judicial custody and he is set to appear again in the court on April 17. The charges carry a possible sentence of up to five years in prison and a fine. Indian authorities said they had informed the U.S. Embassy about the case.

Visitors are banned from traveling within 3 miles (5 kilometres) of the island, whose population has been isolated from the rest of the world for thousands of years. The inhabitants use spears and bows and arrows to hunt the animals that roam the small, heavily forested island. Deeply suspicious of outsiders, they attack anyone who lands onto their beaches.

In 2018, an American missionary who landed illegally on the beach was killed by North Sentinel islanders who apparently shot him with arrows and then buried his body on the beach. In 2006, the Sentinelese had killed two fishermen who had accidentally landed on the shore.

An Idiot Menagerie of the Week: Alligators, ATM Thieves, Stabbing over Food, Exposure

Since there are so many idiots, and this time, none of them are political or religious. But there a lot of those waiting in the wings. These happen to all be from Maryland, not that the state has the corner on Idiots. I've batched these idiots up for your entertainment.

Live Alligators Confiscated From MD Apartment

Two live alligators were confiscated from a Hyattsville, Maryland apartment after the MD Natural Resources received tips about the animals. A 28-year-old Washington, D.C., man was charged with illegal importation and possession of two live American alligators. Both creatures were seized by natural resources police officers and relocated to wildlife education centers. The man faces up to $2,000 in fines if convicted.

Man Exposing Himself At Intersection Charged with Indecent Exposure

A man who reportedly exposed himself at an intersection has been charged with indecent exposure, police reported. A 67-year-old Columbia man was arrested and charged after police said he exposed himself to multiple victims.   **NOTE: The article didn't say anything about dementia, so perhaps that was the issue. If that's the case, it's not about an idiot, but it would instead be sad. **

Man Who Stabbed Roommate While Arguing About Food, Chores Sentenced

An Elkridge, Maryland man who stabbed his roommate during an argument about food and chores has been sentenced. Andre Maxwell Cooper admitted that on July 14, 2024, he and one of his roommates got into an argument over food and chores. He told the roommate he was going to "mess her up." He then forced his way into the victim's room and began punching and stabbing her. She was taken by their other roommate to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. Cooper has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

ATM Robbery Suspects Who Used Jaws Of Life Face 95 Charges

Three robbery suspects who used jaws of life to break into ATMs across Prince George's County, Maryland, now face a combined 95 charges, police say. The investigation revealed the suspects targeted ATMs at businesses across the county. In five robberies, the suspects used hydraulic rescue tools, commonly called the “jaws of life,” to break into the machines and steal tens of thousands of dollars in cash. Detectives estimate that approximately $200,000 was stolen during these robberies.

Idiot of the Week: Right-wing Influencer arrested- ‘track record’ of sexually abusing teen girls

This week's idiot is another right-wing Trump supporter arrested for sexually abusing teenage girls. This guy is also a right-wing media influencer. On top of this idiot, over the last month, you read about two other right-wing nuts arrested for sex with teens: Trump's previous "spiritual guide"/pastor and a Minnesota legislator who thought people who didn't vote for trump were deranged. (Ironic, isn't it, that these sickos blame LGBTQ people who don't do this, while these GOP guys are the ones molesting children). Today's blog is about the latest Idiot.

Right-wing Influencer has ‘track record’ of sexually abusing girls as young as 13

By Nate Gartrell | Bay Area News Group ,UPDATED: March 20, 2025

SAN FRANCISCO — If a court filing by federal prosecutors is any indication, the allegations against Ricci Wynne are even worse than previously believed.

Wynne, a 39-year-old right-wing social media influencer, is already facing state charges of pimping a woman in San Francisco, and a federal indictment on charges of possessing child sexual abuse material of two girls. But in a court filing, prosecutors revealed he is also suspected of sexually abusing girls, one who met him when she was 12, and was allegedly sexually abused by Wynne on camera at age 13.

“(Wynne’s) established track record of sexually abusing children demonstrates he should be detained,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Cheng wrote in the document. He added that after being released in a prior drug case Wynne “almost immediately” began “contacting children as young as 12 or 13 and then sexually abusing them.”

“Evidence recently identified by investigators shows (Wynne) not only sexually abused children, but further video recorded many of his sexual acts with them,” Cheng added.

The document, filed in December but not previously reported, gives the public its best glimpse into the allegations against a man who has made a career as an influencer and commentator by highlighting the worst aspects of life in San Francisco. He posted a widely-viewed “Mister Rogers” parody that went viral, depicting a trash-and-graffiti filled city alleyway, and has appeared as a Fox News guest, mocking safe consumption sites and other progressive policies.

But according to federal prosecutors, while Wynne was railing against the political status quo, he was harboring dark secrets. In 2018, authorities investigated a tip that he was involved in pimping and pandering, but found evidence he advertised a “cocaine buffet” online, resulting in a federal drug case based in San Francisco.

The case ended with a request from prosecutors for a 12-year prison term, highlighting their suspicions about “human trafficking” and arguing he sold cocaine while armed, and was with a teen girl when he was arrested. The defense, though, convinced U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer to forgo jail altogether, portraying Wynne as a lifelong victim of abuse who witnessed atrocities as a child, who suffers from a learning disability and who tried to harm himself multiple times during his jail stay.

But after getting out of jail, while still on supervised release, Wynne began grooming girls, prosecutors allege. He met one when she was 14, then allegedly sexually abused her when she turned 15. Police later found videos on Wynne’s electronic devices showing him “in multiple types of sex acts with a juvenile victim that appears to the officer to be in her early teens at the underdeveloped puberty stage.”

The girl, identified in court as Minor Victim 2, was later identified by a school resource officer who knows her. Police believe she was 12 when Wynne met her, and 13 when the alleged sexual abuse occurred.

All the while, Wynne was building his public persona as a reformed ex-drug dealer who was concerned about San Francisco’s descent into fentanyl-plagued chaos. He amassed more than 100,000 Instagram followers, mocked the city’s inability to curb homelessness and frequently posted impromptu video interviews, sometimes confrontational, with homeless people or suspected drug addicts.

The pimping charge, which involves allegations he pandered a woman, involves a police raid that turned up $79,900 in currency, prosecutors allege.

Wynne is behind bars at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin and cannot be bailed out, records show. He is next due in court March 26, where he is set to appear in front of the same judge, Breyer, who declined to send him to prison in 2021.

Idiot of the Week: Minnesota Republican Arrested for Teenage Sex Solicitation

Republicans seem to have cornered the idiot market for sex with teenagers. This week's idiot is a Minnesota republican who was recently arrested for that reason. He's also a bigot, and in 2021 he objected to a bill requiring Minnesota schools to teach about sexual orientations and gender identities. This is the same fool who co-authored a Republican bill seeking to define criticism of President Donald Trump as a mental illness. Here's the story about this sick idiot of the week.

PHOTO: State Sen. Justin Eichorn, was arrested Monday in Bloomington. He’s a Grand Rapids Republican. Official Senate photo.

GOP Minn. state Sen. Justin Eichorn arrested on suspicion of soliciting sex with a 16-year-old girl

State Sen. Justin Eichorn, R-Grand Rapids, was arrested in Bloomington on suspicion of soliciting a minor for sex.

Bloomington Police led Eichorn, 40, to believe he was talking to a 16-year old girl and then met the senator and arrested him Monday near the 8300 block of Normandale Avenue, according to a Bloomington Police Department press release.

Senate Republicans have called for Eichorn’s resignation.

“We are shocked by these reports and this alleged conduct demands an immediate resignation. Justin has a difficult road ahead and he needs to focus on his family,” Senate Republicans said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.

Police say they saw Eichorn arriving in the area by pick-up truck and arrested him without incident outside his vehicle.

Eichorn, who also serves as chair of the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board, was booked into the Bloomington Police Department jail and will be transported to the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center, the release said. Felony charges of soliciting a minor to practice prostitution are pending, Bloomington police said.

As a 40-year-old man, if you come … looking to have sex with someone’s child, you can expect that we are going to lock you up,” Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges said in the release. “I have always advocated stiffer penalties for these types of offenses … We need our state Legislature to take this case and this type of conduct more seriously.”

Senate Majority Leader Erin Murphy, DFL-St. Paul, in a statement, said the allegation against Eichorn is “deeply disturbing.”

“The felony allegation against Sen. Eichorn is deeply disturbing, and raises serious questions that will need to be answered by the court, as well as his caucus and constituents.”

Unlike her Republican colleagues, Murphy did not call Eichorn’s resignation.

Eichorn’s arrest complicates efforts by Senate Republicans to expel DFL Sen. Nicole Mitchell from the upper chamber, following her arrest last year after she was alleged to have burglarized her stepmother’s home.

Although some Democrats — including Gov. Tim Walz and some of Mitchell’s colleagues — have called on Mitchell to resign, the ethics case against her has been blocked by Democrats, who say expulsion should only come after she’s received due process in the courts. Her trial is scheduled for after the session.

Republicans have said she’s brought dishonor to the institution and should be immediately expelled, even before a criminal trial.

During debate about a motion to expel Mitchell, Sen. Jordan Rasmusson, R-Fergus Falls, said doing so would restore integrity to the Senate.

“We don’t need the results of a criminal trial to know Sen. Mitchell’s conduct fails to meet the standards of ethical behavior that we expect from senators,” Rasmusson said in January.

That argument presumably now applies to Eichorn, as well. Having already called for his resignation, it remains to be seen if Republicans will seek an ethics case and potential expulsion of Eichorn. Expulsion of either candidate would lead to a special election. Each won their 2022 Senate races by significant margins.

In February, Eichorn reposted an article on Facebook about attempts to expel Mitchell, saying that the “growing scandal keeps pulling focus from the Legislature’s important work. We need to end the disruption and let voters choose a new senator.”

In 2021 he objected to a bill requiring Minnesota schools to teach about sexual orientations and gender identities, saying “before you know it, they’ll be reading kids ‘50 Shades of Grey.’ This discussion is better had at a more mature age.”

Eichorn was first elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2016 and works at his family’s outdoor store in Grand Rapids.

Eichorn also co-authored a bill to classify “Trump Derangement Syndrome” as a mental illness.

Idiots of the Week: Medicaid Recipients who voted for Trump, now Panicked

This week's Idiots are 2/3rds of people in California’s 22nd Congressional district, who rely on Medicaid and voted for Trump. Now they're panicked. Watch this video report and you'll be shocked about the reasons why they voted as they did. Now they're paying for it, maybe with their lives, and certainly with their health.

I have zero sympathy for the idiots of the week.  One of the people interviewed in the video report below was a foolish woman who relies on medicaid for herself, her sister, and her disabled daughter, said she voted for Trump and she won't be able to afford ANY of the medications Medicaid pays for all of them. WHY Did she vote for the Felon? She said, "I voted for trump because I don't believe in abortion." When the hell are these morons going to understand that abortion doesn't run the country?

ABOUT THE REPORT: Two-thirds of people in California’s 22nd Congressional district rely on Medicaid. But the majority of the district also voted to elect President Trump in 2024. We went to talk to residents to see what they think about Trump’s proposed cuts to Medicaid. One Trump voter told us: “I feel like they're stabbing us in the back, you know?”

ABOUT THE REPORTING: More Perfect Union’s mission is to build power for working people. Here’s what that means: We report on the real struggles and challenges of the working class from a working-class perspective, and we attempt to connect those problems to potential solutions. We report on the abuses and wrongdoing of corporate power, and we seek to hold accountable the ultra-rich who have too much power over America’s political and economic systems. We're an independent, nonprofit newsroom. Idiot of the Week: Trump's Religious Advisor indicted for child sex crimes

This week's idiot is Donald Trump's Religious Advisor, Robert Morris, who on March 14, 2025 was indicted for child sex crimes that date all the way back to the 1980s! That sick SOB.  These so-called religious people accuse others to throw suspicion away from them,  and then commit child sex crimes themselves. This bastard supported Texas' "Bathroom Bill" to keep transgender people out of bathrooms "to prevent child sexual abuse" and HE, the straight, religious man was the abuser.   Here's the story about this week's idiot... (and it's a 2 for 1 idiot in the photo).

Robert Morris, former Texas megachurch pastor and Trump adviser, indicted for child sex crimes

By Robert Downen, March 12, 2025, The Texas Tribune

Robert Morris, the Dallas-area megachurch pastor who resigned last year amid sexual abuse allegations, has been indicted in Oklahoma for child sex crimes that date back to the 1980s.

Morris is a former spiritual adviser to President Donald Trump, and Gateway — one of the nation’s largest megachurches — has been particularly active in politics. In 2020, Trump held a “Roundtable on Transition to Greatness” there that was attended by then-U.S. Attorney General William Barr and other prominent Republicans.

Morris faces five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child, the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office said in a Wednesday evening press release.

The indictment comes less than a year after Morris resigned from Gateway Church in Southlake after an adult woman, Cindy Clemishire, said Morris repeatedly sexually assaulted her while she was a child in Oklahoma in the 1980s. Morris was at the time working as a traveling preacher.

In a Wednesday text message, Clemishire said through an attorney that she was grateful for the indictments.

“After almost 43 years, the law has finally caught up with Robert Morris for the horrific crimes he committed against me as a child,” she said. “Now, it is time for the legal system to hold him accountable. My family and I are deeply grateful to the authorities who have worked tirelessly to make this day possible and remain hopeful that justice will ultimately prevail.”

Clemishire’s disclosure came as the Dallas religious community was still reeling from a handful of recent sex abuse scandals. Since then, at least a dozen Dallas-area churches or pastors have been accused of committing or concealing sexual misconduct — allegations that have ensnared some of the area’s most prominent leaders and institutions.

Few, if any, were more high-profile than Morris, who steadily involved himself in state and national politics after founding Gateway in 2000. In 2017, Morris was tapped by Gov. Greg Abbott to help support the so-called “Bathroom Bill” that sought to ban transgender people from using their preferred bathroom — in part by arguing that it would allow children to be sexually abused.

During Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, Morris was among at least three other Dallas-area religious leaders who served on Trump’s evangelical advisory board. And in 2021, Morris was part of an effort to mobilize conservatives and evangelicals ahead of Trump’s 2024 presidential bid.

As Morris’ national political spotlight grew, so did his church’s local footprint. For years, Morris and Gateway would show slates of local school board candidates on the church’s massive screens in the lead up to elections — potentially in violation of federal rules that prohibit overt political activity by churches.

“Many of you see what Satan has been trying to do even in our school systems,” Morris told some of the church’s roughly 25,000 members in 2023, before showing a list of Republican candidates.

Those tactics have since been replicated at nearby congregations such as Mercy Culture Church. The Fort Worth church was founded with financial support from Gateway, and has become a staple of local Republican circles, often hosting local elected Republicans and the chair of the Texas GOP.
