Catholic Bishops need to keep OUT of POLITICS.

Did you hear THIS outrageous story? (In USA Today on 9/27/11:  Top Catholic bishop warns Obama about marriage stance
Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York has sent a letter to President Barack Obama warning of "a national conflict between church and state of enormous proportions," if Obama does not retreat from his opposition to the Defense of Marriage Act. Dolan said he believes sanctioning marriage equality for same-sex couples will lead to discrimination against those who oppose it on religious grounds. full story:
These Catholic Bishops need to keep OUT of POLITICS. *OR be taxed to the HILT.* Gay marriage is a civil right. Gay people are not asking to get married in churches. This is not a church issue.
This is a CIVIL RIGHT. I'm fed up with churches interfering with civil rights. I'm so tired of people using their belief in religion to promote violence, hatred, inequality. Just look at the news.
This country is not governed by one religion, nor should it be. Obviously this bishop didn't read the law that there must be separation between church and state. DOMA must fall. Period.

Gift/Memorial Suggestions

Several of our friends have lost loved ones (human and pets) and we found that one of the best ways to honor their memory is to give to an animal charity.
What better way to recognize a life of love, than by giving another life a chance for love?
We donate to many animal rescues, but because we volunteer with
DC Weimaraner Rescue and Coast-to-Coast Dachshund Rescue, those are our 2 favorites.
Consider giving the chance of life to a dog or cat.
