Valentine's Day and Spirit Signs

What better occasion than Valentine's day for a loved one to give you a sign they are still connected? Today's blog will give you a few ideas what to look for from your loved ones.

Learn how to recognize the signs from spirits, whether people or pets through books from Rob Gutro.

If you're looking for signs from people, they could range from their favorite flowers, to hearing their name mentioned or a song that reminds you of them.

You can learn how to spot those signs by reading Rob's books that include: Kindred SpiritsLessons Learned from Talking to the Dead, or Ghosts and Spirits Explained.

If you're looking for signs from precious pets that have passed, you'll find them in the "Pets and the Afterlife" series of books.

Those signs could be like a gentle touch of a dog's nose on your thigh, or a tickle from a cat's tail in spirit. There are so many ways your pets can give you signs from the  other side... and watch your living pets, because they can see and hear them!

Just remember that whenever you are thinking of your loved one who passed, they can hear your thoughts and acknowledge it by letting us know they are always connected us through the powerful emotional energy of love.

HISTORY: St Valentine's Connection to Whitefriar shrine, Ireland and Roman Origins

In today's blog, thanks to BBC News, in today's blog you'll learn about who Saint Valentine was, and Valentine's day's Roman origins.  You'll also learn why people flock to a certain church in Ireland, and get a look at a computer reconstruction of St. Valentine's face!

WHY VALENTINES FLOCK TO WHITEFRIAR CHURCH, IRELAND: By Tori Watson BBC News NI

Lovebirds in Dublin, Ireland are flocking to Whitefriar Shrine church in Ireland to see the remains of history's most romantic man. The patron saint of people in love was a Roman priest who lived during the third Century AD. He was jailed and sentenced to death for arranging secret marriages for soldiers, in defiance of a marital ban imposed by Emperor Claudius II.

Legend has it that while in prison he fell in love with the jailer's daughter and sent her a letter on 14 February - the day he was taken to be killed - signed: "From your Valentine."

WHAT DID ST. VALENTINE LOOK LIKE?  - To see a computer reconstruction of St. Valentine: https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-43056345/st-valentine-does-this-3d-reconstruction-show-his-face

WHY GO TO THIS CHURCH? - The Whitefriar Shrine dates back to the 1950s. The Vatican states that the reliquary contains the remains of St Valentine, martyr, together with a small vessel tinged with his blood.

ORIGINS OF VALENTINE'S DAYThe day is thought to have originated from a Roman festival.
The Romans had a festival called Lupercalia in the middle of February - officially the start of their springtime. It's thought that as part of the celebrations, boys drew names of girls from a box. They'd be boyfriend and girlfriend during the festival and sometimes they'd get married.  Later on, the church wanted to turn this festival into a Christian celebration and decided to use it to remember St Valentine too.  Gradually, St Valentine's name started to be used by people to express their feelings to those they loved.

Valentine's Day Wind Warnings and a Valentine's Vlog for the Single

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. Everyone is loved from someone, whether they're near, far or have passed away. The love you share never ends.  There are a couple other things to keep in mind this day. One is weather-the other is a thought provoking Valentine's Video blog or Vlog from our friend Scott "Bear" Elliott to people who are alone today. We'll get to both here.

1)  HIGH WINDS TONIGHT/SUNDAY- NORTHEASTERN/MID-ATLANTIC  U.S.

-   Because there's a Valentine's Day Blizzard hitting New England again, and some serious sustained winds are forecast to batter areas from coastal Maine to Maryland/Washington, D.C. tonight and Sunday.
WHY? -  It's all because of a low pressure area off the northeastern U.S. coast that's rapidly intensifying. As a result, it's going to bring some heavy snows and strong winds (Blizzard Warnings are in effect)  to coastal New England and mostly strong winds from New Jersey to Washington, D.C (with some snow).  There are HIGH WIND WARNINGS UP all along the coast.
WHAT TO KNOWA high wind warning means a damaging wind event is expected.  Sustained winds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph. Anticipate power outages

  THESE ARE TROPICAL-STORM FORCE WINDS!!!!!

WINDS FROM MAINE TO WASHINGTON, DC:  -.northwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph.

IMPACTS -  Downed trees and powerlines may result in power   outages. Minor structural damage will be possible. Driving  high profile vehicles in these conditions will be dangerous.
    PRECAUTIONS -
* Expect power outages (if they don't happen, be happy)
* Don't park cars under trees
* If you have large trees around your house- STAY DOWNSTAIRS.
* Some bridges will likely be Off-limits to tractor trailer trucks and possibly SUVs or high profile vehicles.

 2) Our Friend Scott "Bear" Elliot's Valentine's Vlog For The Lonely
