Karma: 'I'm in ruins,' said teary My Pillow Guy Mike Lindell

If you do something good, Karma will return the favor. If you do something bad, bad will happen to you. In Buddhism and Hinduism, karma is the principle of cause and effect, where an individual's actions (thoughts, words, and deeds) determine their future experiences in this life and their next life. Since Mike Lindell, the "My Pillow Guy" propogated the "big lie" as an outspoken supporter of Trump's discredited claim that the 2020 presidential election was rigged against him, he has several lawsuits against him. Today's blog is an example of the Bad Karma catching up.

His own stupidity brought his once famous and prosperous company into ruins. (Oh, and Lindell is teary that he lives off $1,000 per week... The median weekly earnings for the nation's full-time wage and salary workers was $1,194 in the first quarter of 2025, so boo-freaking-hoo). 

Although "My Pillow" hasn't as yet (April 2025) filed for bankruptcy it seems like it may happen. The My Pillow company has faced several challenges, including: ***note #3 is the kicker** 

1) Loss of Retail Partners: Several major retailers, including Walmart, Kohls, and Bed Bath & Beyond, stopped carrying MyPillow products.

 2) Negative BBB Rating: The Better Business Bureau revoked MyPillow's accreditation and lowered its rating to F due to numerous consumer complaints, particularly about the "buy one, get one free" offer. 

3) Controversy over Pricing: MyPillow's sale of a classic pillow for $14.88 was met with criticism due to its association with a Nazi dog whistle.

National headlines from ABC NewsCatch up on the developing stories making headlines. Election denier and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell continues to refuse to pay more than $50,000 in sanctions he has been ordered to pay to voting software company Smartmatic over "frivolous" election claims -- alleging he's left with no money after numerous legal battles.

"I'm in ruins," a teary Lindell said through a Zoom screen during a motion hearing in the U.S. District Court in Washington on Wednesday, pleading to Judge Carl Nichols to allow him to wait until after the final judgement comes out to make any payment in the case, which he has already lost.

Last month, Smartmatic filed a motion to hold Lindell in contempt, alleging the MyPillow CEO has been dodging his court-ordered payment of $56,369 to Smartmatic for months.

Lindell, however, insisted that he does not have the means to pay the amount due to various financial difficulties he has suffered over the last few years due to what he again claimed was "lawfare" waged against him for trying to "secure the election."

"I borrowed everything I can. Nobody will lend me any money anymore," Lindell claimed. "I can't turn back time ... but I will tell you, I don't have any money."

Lindell claimed he was recently forced to lay off hundreds of MyPillow employees, lost multiple MyPillow warehouse units over the past two years and even owes millions of dollars to the IRS for what he described as a COVID-era employee retention credit.

He claimed he has "nothing" except for two houses, which he claimed are in the process of being liquidated, and a truck.

He even claimed he can no longer adhere to a previously proposed plan of making monthly installments of $5,000.

After listening through Lindell's plight, Nichols acknowledged that these claims are "non-verifiable representation" at the moment and gave Lindell until Friday to file under seal financial statements and other documents to prove his claims.

"I have nothing to hide," Lindell said as he agreed to do so and added he wants Smartmatic to see the financial situation he's in as well.

Smartmatic's attorney said his client would prefer to see the payment made in a lump sum as soon as possible but acknowledged he would respect the judge's ruling.

DENVER (AP) — Former Colorado clerk Tina Peters, the first local election official to be charged with a security breach after the 2020 election as unfounded conspiracy theories swirled, was found guilty by a jury on most charges Monday.

Peters, a one-time hero to election deniers, was accused of using someone else’s security badge to give an expert affiliated with My Pillow chief executive Mike Lindell access to the Mesa County election system and deceiving other officials about that person’s identity.

Lindell is a prominent promoter of false claims that voting machines were manipulated to steal the election from Donald Trump. His online broadcasting site has been showing a livestream of Peters’ trial and sending out daily email updates, sometimes asking for prayers for Peters and including statements from her.

Prosecutors said Peters was seeking fame and became “fixated” on voting problems after becoming involved with those who had questioned the accuracy of the 2020 presidential election results.

The breach Peters was charged of orchestrating heightened concerns over potential insider threats, in which rogue election workers sympathetic to partisan lies could use their access and knowledge to launch an attack from within.

Peters was convicted of three counts of attempting to influence a public servant, one count of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation, first-degree official misconduct, violation of duty and failing to comply with the secretary of state.

She was found not guilty of identity theft, one count of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation and one count of criminal impersonation, rejecting that in those instances Peters had used the identity of the security badge’s owner, a local man named Gerald Wood, without his permission.

She will be sentenced Oct. 3. Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold, whose office helped launch the investigation into Peters, said she will now face the consequences for compromising her own election equipment “trying to prove Trump’s Big Lie.”

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser said the verdict sent a message. “Today’s verdict is a warning to others that they will face serious consequences if they attempt to illegally tamper with our voting processes or election systems. I want to be clear—our elections are safe and fair,” he said in a statement.

Karma and Stupidity: Don't Park in a Place Saying "You'll be Towed"

If you're dumb enough to park your car in a lot that says "Your car will get towed 24 hours a day/7 days a week," and it gets towed, don't cry about it. That's what happened to idiots who attended a Trump rally in North Carolina. KARMA. Because these people show hatred and intolerance toward others, and do something else stupid, Karma was their "reward." It's a good lesson. Here's the story.

Dozens stranded after vehicles towed during Trump campaign rally

 (WBTV/Gray News) - Dozens of people found themselves stranded following former President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Charlotte on Wednesday.

Parking was at a premium after crowds swarmed the Bojangles Coliseum’s parking lots to hear the Republican presidential nominee’s speech.

Some of those who attended said they spoke to a manager at a nearby Dunkin’ location who told them they could park on the property.

However, the attendees said when they returned to the lot after the campaign event, they found their vehicles gone.

While the drivers were inside the rally, tow trucks showed up and began hooking up vehicles.

“The managers inside promised that they could park here,” attendee Zander DeSoto said. “Some of the people even gave money to the people inside.”

However, those who had their cars towed now had to pay hundreds of dollars to the towing company to get their vehicles back.

Gotcha Towing, the group responsible for pulling the cars, said there was a sign in the lot that warned drivers about illegally parked cars being removed. The company added that the manager of the Dunkin’ store contacted them, asking them to tow the vehicles off the property.

The towing company said the drivers would have to pay $380 to get their vehicles. “Something very fishy going on here, because I’ve never seen anything like this happen before,” another rally attendee said.

Another person said when they went to confront the Dunkin’ manager the store employees locked the doors and refused to come out.

“The whole parking lot is gone … everybody,” he said. “They locked the doors; they won’t answer our calls and they won’t even answer at the window.”

The Crump family said they drove more than two hours for Wednesday’s rally and parked at the Dunkin’ store just to find their vehicle towed.

“Other people were saying the same thing too, that we could park here,” the family shared.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police ended up responding and shuttled some of the drivers to the towing yard to get their vehicles out.

IRS Sues Ohio Doctor Who Said COVID-19 Vaccines Made People Magnetic

CLEVELAND (AP) — An Ohio doctor who drew national attention when she claimed COVID-19 vaccines made people magnetic is being sued by the federal government over claims she hasn’t paid nearly $650,000 in federal taxes and late fees.

The lawsuit, filed last month in federal court in Cleveland, claims Sherri Tenpenny didn’t pay taxes in 2001, 2012 and 2013.

Tenpenny, an osteopathic doctor, has been licensed in Ohio since 1984. Sherri J. Tenpenny is an American anti-vaccination activist and conspiracy theorist who promulgates disproven hypotheses that vaccines cause autism. She told Cleveland.com that she’s tried to settle the dispute with the several times.

“This shows what the IRS can do to a person that they target,” Tenpenny told the newspaper. “This is a total harassment case. They’ve been doing this to me for 23 years.”

The lawsuit alleges that Tenpenny owes $646,929 overall, most of it late fees and penalties. It says she set up payment plans but didn’t finish paying her taxes for the three years cited.

Tenpenny, who lives in Middleburg Heights, drew national attention when she urged Ohio legislators to block vaccine requirements and mask mandates during the coronavirus pandemic, claiming that the shots made their recipients “interface” with cell towers and interfered with women’s menstrual cycles.

Roughly 350 complaints were soon filed about Tenpenny with the medical board, which can discipline physicians for making false or deceptive medical statements. Tenpenny refused to meet with investigators, answer written questions or comply with a subpoena ordering her to sit for a deposition.

Tenpenny’s license was suspended in August 2023 on procedural grounds for failing to cooperate with the investigation. Her attorney had told the board she wouldn’t participate in an “illegal fishing expedition.”

The Ohio State Medical Board voted 7-2 in April to restore her license, with proponents saying she had met the requirements for reinstatement and had paid a $3,000 fine.

Karma in Action: Bus loaded with hate-products crashes

If you live a life where you hate others for who they are or discriminate against others, karma will catch up to you. Trump fans’ bus loaded with MAGA merchandise crashes in New York City

ASSOCIATED PRESS June 3, 2024

NEW YORK (AP) — A man and woman who sold pro-Donald Trump merchandise out of a bus covered with pro-Trump flags and posters are homeless after the vehicle crashed into several street signs and utility poles in New York City.

The crash happened around noon on Sunday on Staten Island, the Fire Department said.

Donna Eiden, who had been living in the bus with her husband, Rocky Granata, and their cat, Missy, told the Staten Island Advance that she was sleeping inside the parked vehicle when when it began to roll along Hylan Boulevard, crashing into signs and poles in its path.

Photos of the crash’s aftermath show the side of the bus ripped to shreds and Trump signs scattered about.

“That’s our life, we live in it; we travel in it. I have my daughter’s ashes in it,” Eiden told the Advance. “It’s our business. It’s our life.”

Eiden had to be extracted from the wrecked vehicle, firefighters said. She did not require medical treatment.

The bus had been a frequent presence at Trump rallies around the country before it crashed.

Karma is what comes back to you after you do something good or bad, or in this case - stupid. MyPillow auctions off equipment amid ‘massive cancellation,’ CEO Lindell says

MyPillow is auctioning off hundreds of pieces of equipment and subleasing some manufacturing spaces amid what founder and CEO Mike Lindell calls “a massive, massive cancellation.”

Lindell, in an interview with the (Minneapolis) Star Tribune, said MyPillow lost $100 million from “attacks by box stores, the shopping networks, the shopping channels, all of them did cancel culture on us.”

Several retailers, including Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s, pulled MyPillow products from their shelves after Lindell continued to claim the 2020 presidential election was stolen from former President Trump.

The Minnesota-based manufacturing company appears to be using the website K-BID Online Auctions to sell items including forklifts, conveyors belts, printers, electronics and commercial supplies.

Lindell is currently facing a $1.3 billion defamation suit from Dominion Voting Systems, which claims Lindell’s accusations of fraud, election rigging and conspiracy have hurt the company’s brand.

Lindell was ordered in April to pay $5 million to a software developer who debunked Lindell’s data about the election after the MyPillow CEO vowed to pay that amount to anyone who could debunk his data allegedly proving election fraud. An arbitration panel ruled that software expert Robert Zeidman successfully disproved Lindell’s claims and ordered the payment within 30 days.

Lindell refused to pay and filed a motion in May to have the ruling tossed out. Zeidman responded and filed a petition in a federal court in Minnesota to get Lindell to pay the $5 million plus 10 percent interest per year until it’s paid.

According to reporting from The Washington Post, vacating the award would require the court to determine the panel committed misconduct, exceeded its powers or that the process was corrupt.

BREAKING: Right-Wing Twitter Influencer Convicted Of Voter Deception

    NEW YORK — A self-styled far-right propagandist from Florida was convicted Friday of charges alleging that he conspired to deprive individuals of their right to vote in the 2016 presidential election. A New York federal jury on Friday convicted a right-wing Twitter influencer of scheming to interfere in the 2016 election by circulating memes targeting Hillary Clinton supporters representing that they could vote via text.

    Douglass Mackey, 33, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was convicted in Brooklyn federal court before Judge Ann M. Donnelly after a one-week trial. On the internet, he was known as “Ricky Vaughn.”  

  In 2016, Mackey had about 58,000 Twitter followers and was ranked by the MIT Media Lab as the 107th-most important influencer of the then-upcoming presidential election, prosecutors said. Cowboys for Trump co-founder Couy Griffin barred from public office for life

State District Judge Francis Mathew has ordered Otero County Commissioner Couy Griffin removed from his post and disqualified from holding public office for life after finding Griffin’s participation in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol amounted to insurrection.

The Cowboys for Trump founder had argued during a bench trial in a civil case last month he was only exercising his First Amendment rights when he traveled to Washington, D.C., and clambered over three barriers to gain access to a platform outside the Capitol, where he cheered on a mob forcibly trying to enter the building as police attempted to hold the crowd back.

A federal judge in March convicted Griffin of trespassing during the rioting. He was acquitted of a count of disorderly conduct. He was sentenced in June to 14 days of incarceration but received credit for 20 days he already had served after his arrest.

Mathew didn’t accept Griffin’s argument in the civil case, in which plaintiffs successfully sought to remove him from office. The judge wrote in his ruling, issued Tuesday, Griffin’s attempts “to sanitize his actions are without merit” and are contradicted by evidence in the case.

“His protestations and his characterizations of his actions and the events of January 6, 2021 are not credible and amount to nothing more than attempting put lipstick on a pig,” the judge wrote.

“The irony of Mr. Griffin’s argument that this Court should refrain from applying the law and consider the will of the people in District Two of Otero County who retained him as county commissioner against a recall effort as he attempted to defend his participation in a mob whose goal, by his own admission, was to set aside the results of a free election by the majority of the people of the entire country (the will of the people) has not escaped this court,” he added.

Griffin called the ruling a “disgrace” Tuesday and said it was politically motivated. “I was shocked this morning when the county manager called me and told me they had already been in my office and confiscated my computer,” Griffin said. “That they had already changed the code on the door ... and that I’m no longer a county commissioner.”

OF COURSE HE CALLED IT POLITICALLY MOTIVATED -That's what Criminals do. They look for someone else to Blame for their stupid Behavior.

Griffin said he plans to appeal the ruling, in part on the grounds that Mathew did not have jurisdiction to remove him from office and the plaintiffs didn’t have standing to bring the petition because they weren’t from Otero County.

The nonprofit Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, also known as CREW, wrote in a statement Tuesday, “This decision marks the first time since 1869 that a court has disqualified a public official under Section 3, and the first time that any court has ruled the events of January 6, 2021 an insurrection.”

Three New Mexico residents — Marco Alarid White and Leslie LaKind of Santa Fe and Mark Mitchell of Los Alamos — filed the petition against Griffin in March with support from CREW.   “I had been aware of Couy Griffin as a kind of provocateur before the insurrection and especially after,” White said. “He was making a lot of hay being one of the most visible Trump supporters in New Mexico and was willing to say and do whatever it was that grabbed the public’s attention and got him attention, no matter what the implications were.”

White said he was struck by a comment Griffin made in May 2020 at a Cowboys for Trump rally in Truth or Consequences: “The only good Democrat is a dead Democrat.”

Under New Mexico law, “any private citizen of the state may file a lawsuit to remove a disqualified county official from office,” CREW said in a news release Tuesday. “Judge Mathew’s decision is fully supported by the facts and the law and justice,” Joe Goldberg, an attorney who argued the case before Mathew, said in the statement.

THIS IDIOT IS DANGEROUS: SO MANY ILLEGAL THINGS AND ENCOURAGING VIOLENCE Judge Mathew also noted Griffin aided the Stop the Steal movement as a featured speaker on a multi-city bus tour to “inflame crowds” and encourage people to go to Washington and stop the peaceful transfer of power from former President Donald Trump to President Joe Biden.

During that tour, the judge wrote, Griffin called on supporters to deny the results of the presidential election and used language that encouraged and normalized the use of violence to achieve political objectives. In one Jan. 4 speech in Atlanta, the judge wrote, there was video evidence Griffin “anticipated possible violence” in D.C., and said he was “calling men from across our nation ... because it might be a battle.”

Griffin also illegally breached security barriers, the judge found. “Mr. Griffin knew he should not have been at the Capitol,” the judge wrote, but “he stayed in support of the insurrection.” Mathew ruled Griffin became “constitutionally disqualified” from holding federal and state offices as of Jan. 6, 2021.

LAST WORDS FROM THE IDIOT Griffin said, if Donald Trump were to be elected president again, he would be interested in an appointed position — perhaps in the Department of Agriculture or Department of the Interior — in which he could continue his political activism on issues including immigration, gun laws and abortion rights.

you have nothing to worry about. However, if you're a jerk to someone, or many people, that bad energy keeps building up. NEW HAMPSHIRE MAN CHARGED IN ASSAULT, ACCUSED OF YELLING RACIST SLURS DIES
   One of two brothers facing criminal charges for attacking and yelling racist slurs at a 22-year-old man in Massachusetts has died, authorities said.
   Jeremy Stephenson and James Stephenson, 39, of Salem, New Hampshire, have been accused of assaulting a man in the parking lot of a pizza shop and telling the victim to “go back to Africa” on Sept. 27 in Dracut, Massachusetts. (The alleged victim’s name was not made public.). The brothers punched the man, yelled racist slurs and pushed him through a plate glass window, officials said. According to officials, the man stabbed Jeremy Stephenson in self-defense during the alleged attack.

South African lions eat 'poacher', leaving just his head
  BBC News (Feb 12, 2018):   A suspected big cat poacher has been eaten by lions near the Kruger National Park in South Africa, police say.  The animals left little behind, but some body parts were found over the weekend at a game park near Hoedspruit.
"It seems the victim was poaching in the game park when he was attacked and killed by lions," Limpopo police spokesman Moatshe Ngoepe told AFP.
"They ate his body, nearly all of it, and just left his head and some remains."
Police have not yet established the victim's identity. A loaded hunting rifle and ammunition were found next to the body, South African website Eyewitness News reports.
Lion poaching has been on the rise in Limpopo province in recent years.

The big cats' body parts are sometimes used in traditional medicine, both within Africa and beyond.
Wildlife charity the Born Free Foundation says lion bones and other body parts are increasingly sought-after in South East Asia, where they are sometimes used as a substitute for tiger bones.
In January 2017, three male lions were found poisoned in Limpopo with their paws and heads cut off.

Scientists predict rising seas will soon swamp Virginia’s Tangier Island. The president doesn’t seem to believe it. Trump phoned James “Ooker” Eskridge, the mayor of Tangier, Virginia, on Monday, a few days after CNN aired a story about the impacts of climate change on the island in the middle of the bay, The Daily Times in Salisbury, Maryland, reports. Trump “said not to worry about sea-level rise,” Eskridge told the newspaper. “He said, ‘Your island has been there for hundreds of years, and I believe your island will be there for hundreds more.’”(Photo: )

IDIOTS OF THE ISLAND: Eskridge told the president that Tangier Island is "a huge supporter of Donald Trump. ... This is a Trump island; we really love you down here." The island in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay is a Republican stronghold — about 87 percent of residents voted for Trump in the November 2016 election. 

The island, population about 450, is losing up to 16 feet of land a year, scientists say. 

BOTTOM LINE: If you're stupid enough to support someone who doesn't believe that climate change and rising oceans will drown your island, you deserve what you get.  Buy a houseboat and remain stupid.

We Love Karma! Spread Fake News and FIRED!

Karma is a reality, and in this instance we couldn't be happier about it. Last week the world learned about General Michael Flynn, the country's shortest-timed U.S. Security Advisor who lied to Vice President Pence about talking with Russians - and Flynn was fired.
  However, it's what he did to Hillary Clinton that was more damaging AND it was a huge lie that inspired a gunman to come to Washington, DC and shoot up a Pizzeria!  Karma can be a bitch if you're a lying, horrible person. 

 BTW- he taught his son the same reprehensible  behavior: Both he and his son, Michael G. Flynn, have used social media to spread fake news stories linking Mrs. Clinton to underage sex rings and other serious crimes, backed by no evidence.  Source: NTTimes article 2/15/16

A shooting at a D.C. pizza restaurant is stoking criticism of the conspiracy theories being spread by Donald Trump’s pick for national security adviser.

     Flynn used his Twitter  platform to retweet accusations that Clinton is involved with child sex trafficking and has "secretly waged war” on the Catholic Church, as well as charges that Obama is a “jihadi” who “laundered” money for Muslim terrorists. 
   A Sunday’s shooting at a Washington pizza restaurant that had been targeted by false, internet-fed rumors accusing it of being the epicenter of a satanic child-trafficking conspiracy involving Clinton and her allies. Flynn had twice used Twitter to promote similar, only slightly less outrageous hoaxes in the past month, including a claim that Clinton’s campaign manager takes part in occult rituals in which bodily fluids are consumed.

Pizzeria assailant thought he was rescuing child sex slaves

     Police arrested Edgar Welch outside Comet Ping Pong on Sunday afternoon, after three shots were fired and people in the restaurant fled, with one telling a police officer, "he's in there and he has a gun!", according to court documents. Karma is real!

Karma is a reality. When you do something bad it comes back on you. Here's an example that made us smile.
This weekend when were out running errands, we were on a state road that dropped from two lanes to one. There was a silver Acura behind us in the left lane and a box truck ahead of us. The right lane was ending so we stayed in the left lane.
  The driver of the Acura was (like so many impatient people) in a hurry, and drove around us in the dwindling right lane, cutting in front of us as the lanes merged into one lane. Of course, in front of him was the box truck, which was going about 5-10 miles per hour UNDER the speed limit!   The road went for about 1 or 2 miles before splitting back into 2 lanes and we could tell that the driver of the Acura (now in front of us) was steaming. It was quite funny to us that he cut us off and got stuck behind the box truck going slower than the speed limit!
   We all got to the next traffic light at the same time, too.  Hahahahaha!

  SO, take note. 1) Never cut anyone off  2) Don't think going fast is going to get you there any faster.  3) Karma will bite you in the butt. 4) Be nice to everyone or the nastiness will come back.
