  I don't understand what people who make up lies and conspiracy theories (lies) get out of trying to fool people. Today's blog provides the most recent disproven stupidity, thanks to Snopes. 

1) FACT: FEMA isn't running out of money because of undocumented immigrants

LIE:  "FEMA is Running Out of Hurricane Relief Money Due to Migrant Aid"

Some internet users further claimed victims of Hurricane Helene would receive only $750 because FEMA spent more than $1 billion on shelter and services for undocumented immigrants. The Truth:  It's another Republican scare tactic to make people hate immigrants. 

2) FACT:  Kamala Harris has Black Grandparents

 This week's idiot is a guy who is running for the Governor in North Carolina- and the scary thing is that he's ahead in the polls. That's a REALLY BAD reflection on the voters of North Carolina. THE UNBELIEVABLY BONKERS CONSPIRACY THEORIST RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR OF NORTH CAROLINA 

North Carolina GOP gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson has spread virtually every conspiracy theory you can think of. 

• He says that Beyoncé is "satanic" 
• the 1969 moon landing may have been fake 
• there's a ruling class of secretive reptiles

 And yet, he is the GOP front-runner in the race, and political analysts predict he could even go on to win the seat.

North Carolina GOP gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson has said it himself: He’s a conspiracy theorist.

He didn’t specify in that March interview what that means in terms of what he believes. It turns out it means he has spread virtually every conspiracy theory you can think of.

Robinson, who is the state’s lieutenant governor, has said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if the 1969 moon landing was fake and the 9/11 terrorist attacks were an “inside job.” He’s “SERIOUSLY skeptical” of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination and of the 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas. 

He falsely accused David Hogg, a survivor of the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, of being a paid actor. 

He’s claimed that climate change is based on “junk science.”

And those are just the dangerous theories he’s echoed that have been previously reported.

In lesser-noticed social media posts, Robinson has said that news coverage of police shootings is part of a media conspiracy “designed to push US towards their new world order.” He and his wife both liked a since-deleted Facebook comment that stated, “WWG1WGA are my ‘Identity’ letters,” a reference to the QAnon rallying cry “Where we go one, we go all.” In October 2018, on a day when authorities intercepted pipe bombs intended for President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and CNN, Robinson suggested on Facebook that they had done it to themselves. “If you can’t beat ’em, bomb yourself,” he wrote.

He followed that with another Facebook post claiming, “This entire ‘bombing’ story is faker than a $20 Rolex sold on a New York City sidewalk.” Months later, another post on his Facebook page parroted the conspiracy theory that the pipe bomb incident was “manufactured” and “fake.”

Robinson is also a regular proponent of conspiracies claiming the music industry is being run by Satan and the Illuminati. He has called Beyoncé’s music “satanic” and described Jay-Z as “demonic” and sent by Satan to turn people away from Jesus. He suggested that the 2014 Boko Haram kidnapping of schoolgirls in Nigeria was orchestrated by billionaire Democratic philanthropist George Soros, a frequent target of antisemitic attacks by Republicans.

Karma in Action: MyPillow auctions off equipment amid ‘massive cancellation'

Karma is what comes back to you after you do something good or bad, or in this case - stupid. Mike Lindell, owner of "My Pillow" has been touting and supporting Trump's election lies, causing more discord and division in the U.S. As a result of his stupidity, many companies have dropped his product (Bravo to them!), and now he's paying for his stupidity financially.  Here's the story from the non-partisan Hill dot com:

 

MyPillow auctions off equipment amid ‘massive cancellation,’ CEO Lindell says

MyPillow is auctioning off hundreds of pieces of equipment and subleasing some manufacturing spaces amid what founder and CEO Mike Lindell calls “a massive, massive cancellation.”

Lindell, in an interview with the (Minneapolis) Star Tribune, said MyPillow lost $100 million from “attacks by box stores, the shopping networks, the shopping channels, all of them did cancel culture on us.”

Several retailers, including Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s, pulled MyPillow products from their shelves after Lindell continued to claim the 2020 presidential election was stolen from former President Trump.

The Minnesota-based manufacturing company appears to be using the website K-BID Online Auctions to sell items including forklifts, conveyors belts, printers, electronics and commercial supplies.

Lindell is currently facing a $1.3 billion defamation suit from Dominion Voting Systems, which claims Lindell’s accusations of fraud, election rigging and conspiracy have hurt the company’s brand.

Lindell was ordered in April to pay $5 million to a software developer who debunked Lindell’s data about the election after the MyPillow CEO vowed to pay that amount to anyone who could debunk his data allegedly proving election fraud. An arbitration panel ruled that software expert Robert Zeidman successfully disproved Lindell’s claims and ordered the payment within 30 days.

Lindell refused to pay and filed a motion in May to have the ruling tossed out. Zeidman responded and filed a petition in a federal court in Minnesota to get Lindell to pay the $5 million plus 10 percent interest per year until it’s paid.

According to reporting from The Washington Post, vacating the award would require the court to determine the panel committed misconduct, exceeded its powers or that the process was corrupt.
