Book of the Week: Kindred Spirits: How a Spirit Befriended a Medium by Rob Gutro

Every week I publish a book of the week that I enjoyed, and this time is unique because it's a book I wrote from my personal experiences with a man named Ed who passed away and communicated to me from the afterlife.I LOVED writing "Kindred Spirits: How a Spirit Befriended a Medium"  and telling Ed's story, 23 years after he passed. *** Recently, the book found popularity again shooting into the top 200 on Amazon, because Ed's signs teach others what signs to look for from their own loved ones. Since this published in 2019, Ed continued to give many signs, so his sequel is coming out in 2027. Meanwhile, learn about today's book and there are some reviews included. 

ABOUT THE BOOK: Imagine that the spirit of someone you never met in life comes along in your new relationship. The spirit died 20 years before you met your partner, and this spirit was in a commited relationship with your partner decades before. That's what happened to author and medium Rob Gutro. The spirit, whose name is Ed, has come through in so many ways from dreams to coins, look-alikes, and more. Ed's spirit told Rob many things he couldn't possibly have known. Rob confirmed everything with his partner.

It's uncommon for a medium really get know a spirit so well that the living person considers the spirit a best friend. But that's exactly what happened to medium and paranormal investigator Rob Gutro. When Rob met his partner Tom in 2005, Ed's spirit came along for the ride. Rob never knew Ed in life.

Now, Ed often communicates to Rob and has revealed his sense of humor, his heart, and helped solved the mystery of his passing. Ed's "Spirit Treasure Hunt" showed his family he's with them, too. I could not put this book down. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end . What an amazing story of a special bond that develops unexpectedly but not by coincidence ( because there's no such as coincidences.) between Rob and a very special spirit Ed. The way Rob is able to channel Ed's messages for him to help bring healing ,love ,laughter and confirmation that he like many other spirits that have crossed are still very much around us all the time . I highly recommend this book, I have only touched on a few things that I loved about this book, there truly is so much that I could go on about . You won't be disappointed, and maybe it's not a coincidence that your meant to purchase this book , or that you're reading this review.

Happy Birthday to Ed's Spirit - Subject of my book: "Kindred Spirits: When a Medium Befriends a Spirit"

 Today marks the birthday of Ed G, the special spirit I befriended who has been around me for over 15 years. 

  I never knew Ed in life, but have come to know him so well in spirit through his many messages and appearances in various ways (including sending a look-alike to rescue Tom and me when we got lost in a forested area in England on vacation). He also helped solve the mystery around his own passing. Ed and his amazing afterlife communications are the topics of my best-selling book "Kindred Spirits: When a Medium Befriends a Spirit."     Today would have been his 61st birthday. 

   Last month he helped me out on vacation in Greece and sent me a signature coin (He loves sending coins to show me he's around. He calls them "Jingle" and you can read about that in Kindred Spirits. 

     He visited again this week, too, which is no surprise since spirits visit around their birthdays. It's also the same week as my birthday (we were born 2 days and 2 years apart), so he's been around to wish me a happy birthday, too. Both that sign and the Greece vacation appearances will be in the upcoming book: "Kindred Spirits 2" which I continue to write! 

    Since I published his story in 2019, he's let me know that he's proud of it and excited. His communications are an example to all, teaching everyone how all spirits can communicate. Ed has proven that spirits are very, very much alive and with us long after their physical selves are gone.

Ed's Message On the Anniversary of his passing: "Kindred Spirits"

Recently at my office, I went to lunch with 3 colleagues who have each had paranormal experiences. We talked about living in haunted homes and their experiences with humans or animals who passed. I never mentioned Ed's spirit, whom is the subject of my latest book "Kindred Spirits: How a Medium Befriended a Spirit." But, Ed wanted me to know he's around. Here's what happened.

Last week, during the Christmas rush of getting presents together, baking and organizing things, I heard Ed on Thursday, Dec. 19 suggest taking three copies of my "Kindred Spirits" book to work and give one each to my colleagues. I didn't think anything of it until the morning of Dec. 20. Then it hit me. 

I thought, Today is the anniversary of Ed's passing. I totally forgot, but he didn't. 

I was reminded when I checked my husband's facebook page and he posted the following "Though the voice may be quiet, the memory of you remains. You are still greatly missed. 10/15/60 - 12/20/96."
There, looking at me was Ed's face in a photo that Tom posted.  

As I gave Paul, Michelle and Courtney their copies, I realized it was the anniversary of his passing, and that Ed wanted to reassure me that he's still very much alive and around. It brought a tear to my eyes, and a comfort. 

That's how spirits work. They will influence you to do things on a certain date that is special to them, so that we'll know they are still around us. NH Trip #3: Ed's Spirit Shows Up in New Hampshire

The Superman who stopped me in my tracks- It was Ed's doppelganger

In the previous NH trip's blog, I wrote about how I went to New Hampshire to give fundraising talks at 2 Animal Rescues about my 2 "Pets and the Afterlife" books. I also talked about my new book called "Kindred Spirits" which is about 14 years of communications from a spirit named Ed, and how I befriended him. 
  Well, Ed likes to remind me that he's still very much around and he did so again during this trip.
Because I had a couple of hours to use before I went to the rescue, and I learned there was a comic-con in the same city of Manchester, New Hampshire, I decided to go there and enjoy it.

  As I was walking around, I was attracted to a photo on one of the walls. I looked at the picture and it appeared that Ed was looking back at me, dressed in a Superman costume (my favorite hero)! Of course, I'm sure it wasn't Ed, but the man looked just like Ed (from the photos I've seen). 
     I don't know who the man is, but the resemblance is uncanny. I've posted a photo of Ed here, too, so you can compare for yourself.

I knew it was a sign from Ed telling me he's with me, and he was proud of me talking about his spirit-life story in the new book!

Spirits will often lead you to someone who looks like them to convey the message that they are very much around you.
