Heroes of the Week: Nebraska State Patrol Troopers Respond to Hundreds of Weather-Related Roadway Incidents
On March 19th this week, the state of Nebraska was hit by a blizzard. There were many accidents, but the Nebraska State Patrol officers were out in it, and helping stranded motorists. They are Nebraska's only statewide, full-service law enforcement agency. They are this week's heroes!(Photo: On the morning of March 19th while a trooper was helping a driver south of Fremont, another driver lost control and struck his patrol unit. (Pictured here). Fremont is a city and county seat of Dodge County in the eastern portion of Nebraska. Thankfully the trooper was not in the cruiser at the time and was not injured.)
