Cleveland Trip #15: Visiting Ryan & a Cool Akron Restaurant!

Part of my pre-planned Cleveland trip was to visit my friend Ryan in addition to seeing the homes of the Superman co-creators, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and countless comic book shops in search of classic comics for my collection. Ryan toured me around his town of Akron, and introduced me to a really cool restaurant called the Mustard Seed- a place you need to try.

WHAT IS THE MUSTARD SEED?Mustard Seed Market & Café is the largest locally-owned retailer of natural and organic products in Ohio. Since 1981 they've been open in Akron. They are a locally-owned family business providing high quality natural and organic foods along with education and information on food issues and the environment.

They have strict ingredient standards—no artificial colors, flavorings or harmful chemical preservatives, no saccharin or aspartame, no irradiated foods, meats raised without the use of growth hormones and never fed animal by-products.

It's an order from the menu at the register restaurant, and then your meals are brought to your table. It's informal, and the food is amazing.

LOTS OF TRAILS - After dinner, we visited one of the many trails around Akron. Sadly, the sun was setting so we couldn't walk it. There are 10 River Trails in Akron and you can learn about them here: https://www.alltrails.com/us/ohio/akron/river
