interesting if you eat out at Panera Bread (as we do), or if you happen to know who is seeking a missing Mermaid (that's not a typo). Stories below:
PANERA BREAD BOUGHT - An English company has bought a LOT of Franchises!
It
is only the latest effort to expand into restaurants by JAB, the
investment arm of the Reimann family of Germany, who are heirs to the
consumer goods company Joh. A. Benckiser. In 2014, JAB bought the bagel
chain Einstein Brothers, which it has been combining with Caribou is
some markets. And last year, it paid $1.35 billion for Krispy Kreme, the
struggling doughnut chain. In
Panera, JAB will acquire a popular fast casual chain that serves soups,
salads, sandwiches and baked goods at about 2,000 locations.

WEIRD NEWS: Police Seek Help Identifying Woman Found Wet, Claiming To Be Mermaid
Police in Fresno, California, are asking for the public’s help identifying a young woman found soaking wet and wandering in the street early Tuesday. The woman, who officers estimated is between 16 and 30, said she was a mermaid named Joanna, but was unable to answer questions, according to a news release from the police department. A police flyer describes her as 5 feet 4, about 150 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. The flyer notes she has “webbed toes on both feet.”
