Heidi and I have known each other over 20 years (she's known Tom for 8 of them), and she's written many books, several of them in different series. For many years she worked with big publishers to get her books in print. It was frustrating for me to watch, because she's a great writer.
So, after seeing the many promises and re-writes/edits publishers kept asking her to do, and she did them - the publishers didn't come through. (That's why I decided to self-publish my books) Heidi is talented and patient. She's won awards for her writing, even in the U.K.
Finally, the day has come where she has published her first novel. I'm looking forward to seeing her series, too.
