Overnight from Sat. Jan 6th to Sunday, Jan 7th, we experienced our first big snow here in southern Maine. Today's blog has pictures from it!

On Sunday, Jan. 7th when the dogs woke me up to go out at 6 a.m there was about 3" of snow and they didn't want to step in it, so holding all 3 leashes in one hand and shoveling out an area in the yard with the other, they finally came out and did their business.(Photo: First time the driveway was shoveled. THEN the big snow amounts came)
By 10 am on January 7th, we had 4" on the ground, and Tom and I shoveled out our 75-foot driveway. Fortunately, it was light, fluffy snow, so it could be just pushed with the shovel. The snow came down heavy during the afternoon and 6" MORE inches arrived. At 3pm, I did go out and re-shovel the dog's yard area and 1/2 of the driveway. .. then we waited for it to end by 10pm. Total snowfall was 10" but it was light and fluffy, so we could push it to the sides of the driveway.
On January 8th, there was only 5" on the driveway (since we shoveled earlier) and we pushed it off pretty quickly (well, for 75 feet of driveway).
Love the photos and you both. Craig
