AT 11AM Saturday, June 7th, the HEAT INDEX in Baltimore was 96F

AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON...
Strong high pressure will remain over the region through the weekend...resulting in temperatures climbing into the 90s across No. and Central VA and MD; Wash, DC; Baltimore. These hot temperatures combined with high dew points will bring Heat index values above 100 during the afternoon hours Saturday through Monday. Heat index values may approach 110. The hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids...stay In an air-conditioned room...stay out of the sun...and check up on relatives and neighbors, Wear LIGHT colored clothing and hats.
DO NOT LEAVE PETS OUTSIDE. DON’T LEAVE PETS IN THE CAR FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME, IF YOU’RE NOT RUNNING A/C. – I’ve already run into one irresponsible person this year and corrected the situation (luckily).
