A Fantastic Re-Read: Murder She Wrote: Trick or Treachery

If you've followed this blog for a while you know one of my all-time favorite TV shows is Murder She Wrote, starring the late Angela Lansbury as novelist Jessica Fletcher. And one of my all time favorite series of books are those of the same name. Currently, there are over 55 novels in the series. Since it's Halloween time, I re-read one of the older novels called "Trick or Treachery" which is set around Halloween in Cabot Cove, Maine.

I first read this about 10 years ago , so I didn't remember all the characters, plot and the murderer- and it was fantastic all over again!! 5 of 5 stars.

BTW- the authors of the series have changed as Donald Bain, the original author who penned over 35 of them passed away years ago. Since then, several other writers have penned them.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Jessica Fletcher gets spooked in this Halloween mystery in the USA Today bestselling Murder, She Wrote series...

It's late October in Cabot Cove, and as Halloween approaches, something strange is in the air. The arrival of a self-righteous, fire-and-brimstone spiritual medium has some townspeople on the lookout for curses and evil omens; a reclusive, eccentric woman has others whispering that she is a real-life witch; and the upcoming annual Halloween party has Jessica Fletcher frantically searching for the perfect costume.

Then the whole town ends up spooked when the alleged witch ends up dead in the graveyard, and everyone at the party is a suspect. Jess takes it upon herself to stir through a witches' brew of motives—and concocts a scary scheme of her own to make sure a guilty ghoul doesn't get away with murder...
