RESEARCH NEWS: COVID SURVIVORS HAVE INCREASED RISK OF NEUROLOGICAL & MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS
People who survive a Covid-19 infection have an increased risk of developing mental health and neurological conditions in the six months after a diagnosis, a study suggests. Researchers at the University of Oxford looked at the TriNetX electronic 2020 health records of more than 230,000 Covid-19 patients, mostly from the US. Their study, published in The Lancet Psychiatry journal and said to be the largest of its kind, estimated that one in three Covid-19 survivors (34 per cent) were diagnosed with a neurological or psychiatric condition within six months of being infected. **A very lucky guy** SKIER SURVIVES 1,000-FOOT TUMBLE DOWN MOUNT WASHINGTON, NH - Arild Hestvik, 61, of Newark, Delaware, had climbed the steep slope of a chute called the Main Gully on New Hampshire’s Mount Washington on Saturday in preparation to ski down, the Concord Monitor reported. It took rescuers several hours to evacuate him to safety. Rescuers asked for a National Guard helicopter, which can hoist an injured person using a cable.

ARKANSAS BECOMES FIRST U.S. STATE TO BAN DOCTORS FROM TREATING TRANSGENDER YOUTH
Arkansas on Tuesday became the first U.S. state to ban certain types of treatment to transgender youth, overriding a veto by Governor Asa Hutchinson and inviting lawsuits from civil rights groups that have vowed to stop it. What does it do? It bars doctors from providing medically necessary treatment for trans kids!!!!!

BIDEN ADMINISTRATION DISBURSES 25 MILLION MORE STIMULUS PAYMENTS TO AMERICANS
The Biden administration said on Wednesday that 25 million more stimulus payments worth a total of $36 billion had been sent out to Americans from the $1.9 trillion pandemic relief legislation.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) asked former President Donald Trump for a blanket pardon during the final days of Trump's administration, The New York Times reported. The idea didn't gain any ground with White House lawyers, however, and it's unclear if Gaetz spoke directly to Trump about it. Gaetz is under investigation for alleged sex trafficking and having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl. He denies it. THE IDIOT IS SPEAKING AT A WOMEN’S CONFERENCE at MAR-A-LARGO (of course) -Gaetz has been invited to speak at a summit this week at Trump's Doral resort in Miami. The event is being organized by Women for America First, which has been described as a "pro-Trump dark money" organization.

NYC DOORMEN FIRED AFTER ATTACK ON ASIAN WOMAN Two doormen were fired after a man attacked an Asian woman on the sidewalk outside their building in late March and, rather than intervening or trying to help her, they closed the door. The company noted the doormen came out of the building later. The doormen's union said the employees would challenge their terminations.
