Good collection of 1970s Horror/Mystery Comics: House of Secrets Vol. 1

I love reading the DC Showcase collections of classic comics. They are 500 plus pages of reprints of classic comics from the 1950s to the 1980s. They're all sadly out of print, too. Recently I enjoyed the horror/mystery series "DC Comics Showcase Presents: House of Secrets Vol. 1. This collection from the early 1970s also contained the very first story and origin of the now super-popular character, Swamp Thing.  Of course, Swamp Thing was the topic of 2 theatrical movies back in the 1970s/early 80s and had a television show. Now, the CW Network brought the character back to television, so he's super-popular.

Anyway, the 500 plus pages were filled with countless other issues from the House of Secrets series, and full of supernatural stories. All were entertaining.  If you like those stories, and can get this at a reasonable price (they are going for at least $35 now), get it!- Rob

BACK COVER:  "Come on in and rest your weary bones! The place may be cluttered, but every dark and cobwebbed corner tells a tale, and there are enough spooky stories of shock and suspense that you'll never want to leave -- even if you could!"-
