After a stressful week, Friday night was just what we needed. We met old friends for dinner, watched Spiderman (one) and I (Rob) finally didn't have an asthma attack in my sleep.

FUN DINNER OUT - Sometimes it's hard to get together with friends and it took 9 months for us to finally see our friends Erica, Todd, their 5 year old son Cole and 9 month old daughter Harper. As you could guess, the last time we saw them was just before Harper was born (and having a newborn takes up a lot of time!). We enjoyed a nice dinner at Bob Evans, and saw how 5 year old Cole knows more Hockey players than the NHL by affixing stickers of photos of hockey players in a sticker book. He knew their names, teams and numbers. He also plays hockey! Little Harper is adorable, too.

A MOVING DOG STORY - We met Todd and Erica 9 years ago through a dog walking group - because they had a Weimaraner, too. Their Weimaraner was named "Beamer." Todd told us that this past winter, Beamer was 11 years old, and ill. They knew it was time and didn't want to make him uncomfortable and transport him so they called the vet to the house to put him to sleep. Todd told us that just 20 minutes before the vet arrived, Beamer passed quietly in Todd's arms. Of course, I was an emotional wreck at the table. Erica and Todd did adopt a new dog named Zorro, so Cole and Harper would have a dog. The dog is a Poodle/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix, and fit right in.
MOVIE NIGHT - We RARELY stay up for movies, but because Spiderman 2 just hit theaters this
we rented Spiderman 1 (starring Andrew Garfield, a very good Peter Parker/Spiderman in our opinion). We didn't remember most of it until we watched it again, which is unusual... because the movie was really great. Spidey faced off against the Lizard. Now we want to see Spiderman 2 in the theater if possible!

NO ASTHMA ATTACK - FIRST NIGHT! - Although it may seem trivial, last night was the first night I went to bed and felt relaxed enough that I didn't have an overnight asthma attack and asthma-sweat. What a relief. The three medications seem to be working, coupled with the renewed okay to exercise.
