Interesting news from USA Today - about a book that TOM is currently reading!
It brings Tom's and my (Rob's) worlds together - because DC COMICS is going to make this and the other books in the series into three graphic novels (comic book adaptations). COOL! - Rob

Computer hacker Lisbeth Salander is a colorful heroine who comes alive simply from author Stieg Larsson's words. So just imagine how she'll burst off the page of a graphic novel.
The mega-popular book The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is getting that treatment beginning next year courtesy of DC Entertainment. The company secured the rights to Larsson's Millennium Trilogy starring Salander and journalist Mikael Blomkvist, and will work with the late author's estate to release adaptations on DC's mature-audiences imprint, Vertigo Comics. Vertigo is also the home of other graphic novels and comics such as Neil Gaiman's Sandman series, Fables, Y: The Last Man and Road to Perdition.
"The intricate characters and stories Larsson created in The Millennium Trilogy are a perfect match for the graphic-novel format, where we can bring Lisbeth Salander to life in entirely new, visually compelling ways," says Dan DiDio, co-publisher for DC Entertainment. "It's a distinct honor to work on a story that is already so popular with millions of readers around the world."
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and its two sequels have all been USA TODAY best sellers. Tattoo, which reached No. 1 on USA TODAY's Best-Selling Books list, has spent 125 weeks on the list and is currently No. 59.
"Stieg always liked comics, and it will be exciting to see the unforgettable characters he created come to life on the comics page," says Larsson's younger brother, Joakim Larsson.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo graphic novel will come out in 2012, followed by The Girl Who Played with Fire in 2013 and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest in 2014, with all three available in print and digital formats.
Can't wait till next year to see Lisbeth in action? The feature film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, directed by David Fincher and starring Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig, arrives in theaters Dec. 21.
